QUICK couple minute mini figurative study #7!
This one is less of a gesture and more of a tad more resolved figure sketch, but it's a study none the less, about five-ish minutes to put down. I found a free nude figure reference drawing video (with timed poses, if you need to practice that) on YOUTUBE. Honestly, just search "nude figure reference" and you'll get some good freebies released from reputable groups. You won't get endless variety, but it's good for different reference in a pinch, once or twice.
This one I took careful, but limited contour lines in a fine, light singular pass each time to get the delicate edge of the thighs, or the well-lit chest, or the fine facial features. It's good to be intentional and selective about where you place careful, thin marks, and where you go more heavy-handed. The reference will guide you.
Using the rectangular Carpenter style Generals Pencil in 2B here, for 90% of the work, just applying differing pressure and using different angles or corners of the chunky tip to mark-make, going in for the remaining 10% with minimal, choice marks with a mechanical pencil or a Palomino Blackwing Pearl.
