Here's another original composition called "Rooted in Tomorrow"! This one's based on a video game hometown theme! Full writeup as usual is in the description of the video :)

I just got back from a trip to San Diego to visit FamilyJules and Adrisaurus! It was super nice to see them again, and nice to get the creative juices flowing again.

Though it has been nice to release this original music lately, something feels just a bit off, and I'm not quite sure what it is yet. I thought this project would be exactly what I needed to help myself get back into the flow of things, but it isn't quite doing that for me in this current state. Writing the original tunes is nice, and it's a good exercise, but I think I'm missing that connection to the culture of video game music, and the context of an actual video game. I might experiment with some different formats for my original music in the future to see if I can get it feeling closer to what I'm going for.
