UPDATE for all you lovely patron type people! I'm still plugging away, folks! Real life stuff got busy, so I had less time to edit than I thought I would. Boo.

Expect early access audio(s?) tonight/tomorrow. Public access on YouTube to follow. More Patreon exclusives are also all queued up for all tiers Pink Velvet and higher! ^^

I admit there are a few bumps in getting back into the swing of my old schedule, but all told it's going pretty well.

Anyway! To further whet wet some appetites out there, here's a behind the scenes shot of this week's main channel project file! I'd share a clip, but for reasons that I think will be apparent, the final mix isn't complete yet...

For reference: there were three scripted sound effects in this portion of the script. Three.

I went way overboard. Fittingly enough, given the subject matter! Now, you too can actually see my insanity in action! Isn't it neat? 🎵 Look at this trove, treasures untold, how many wonders sound effects can one cavern audio hold? 🎵 and so on.

Special bonus: new alternate thumbnail behind the cut.

...while I like the others I previously posted, I've been using way too much blue/pink/purple lately. Time to mix it up! I may even run a test with some of the alts and we'll see how the algorithm treats things. Might be fun to do that and then put together a nice little postmortem for you guys.

Alright, that's it for me. I'm off to work! I'll see you soon!

xoxo,

Vel

Ooo I’m looking forward to the eerie whispering and mystery chimes sound effects! Love getting to see your nutty process, Vel 🌰🐿️ I’m here for experimenting with colors 🎨

I've thought about it! I did make a post like that about my basic post production stuff a few years ago, though it desperately needs an update because so much has changed since then... But whether through text or a video, I'm not sure it would be very interesting to see the full process? Sound design especially. That's a lot of me getting distracted in the middle of editing, going, "oooh hey, you know what'd be neat?!", vetting a bunch of SFX to fit my silly idea and trying to make it work. Which, sometimes, it doesn't! While my particular workflow is amazing for keeping my squirrel brain engaged, I must admit my process is not exactly tidy. ^^;

Have you ever considered doing a behind the scenes post detailing your audio editing process?
