Sneak Peeks, Plans, Updates!

Hello, Patrons! It's time to look into our crystal ball and see what's I've got cooking over here in Vanilla Velvet...um...flavor town??

First piece of big news: I finally pulled the trigger on an XLR microphone and a dedicated audio interface. I snagged a Rode NT1 + Focusrite Scarlett Solo. Very intimidating! New! Different! SO MANY BUTTONS!

I'm frankly scared to take it out of the box in case Noodle sneezes on it and shorts it out. (He is, in case I've never mentioned it before, the Sneeziest of All Known Creatures.) But, it's been almost two years since I upgraded to my Blue Yeti X, and I thought it was time to take the next step. The only slightly terrifying next step. D:

I'll likely need to do some more extensive sound proofing before I can use the new mic in my current space, and that will take a couple of months between labor and cost. There is much mass loaded vinyl in my future, and that shit ain't cheap!

Luckily (?) they started doing construction on my street a few days ago, so I can work on my office leisurely while they're busy ripping up concrete and whatnot. Y'know, since recording with a more sensitive mic is out of the question for awhile. Silver linings!

Next up! Four year anniversary channel refresh! (I think?!)

Over the past couple of months, I've commissioned several new logo prototypes from a bunch of artists. I'm still waiting on one or two, but they should be hitting my inbox in a few days. I'll share them when they're all squared away!

I've also been going back and forth on commissioning a whole lot of art over the summer. I'm thinking about getting some fresh spicy pieces for Patron Eyes Only, possibly buying a bunch ahead to release one per month for the next year or two, but I'm also considering a couple for new video visuals! Because I'm feeling fancy!

Commissioned Sequel Scripts!

I've gotten the initial batch of first drafts back! I haven't looked at them yet, but I know they'll be amazing. Expect a new adventure for a yandere cave girl, and a proper introduction for a little rat janitor/extortionist...

While I'd like to keep the others a surprise, at least one major fan favorite character will be returning! Somebody -- who miiiight be somewhere in the top twenty most popular videos on the channel -- is getting a new story!

Other Junk!

Just so I don't forget, because I KEEP FORGETTING: I'm planning to FINALLY upload some remastered audios from last summer's themed compilations for your ad-free listening pleasure. I may eventually re-record a couple of my favorites (perky wolf girl? kuudere succubus? idk) but at least for now I can deliver the remasters here like I've been meaning to for a million years.
