A difficult decision regarding my Patreon page

Long time no see. I hope you are all doing well. Even though it is been a year, your messages still bring me so much warmth. It feels like I never left this community.
Sadly, I am writing to share some difficult news. I have discovered that my content is being widely stolen and sold by others. Since I haven not been active, this problem has only gotten worse. It hurts to see my work used this way, as it goes against everything I believe in.
I was considering sharing new work recently, but I have decided against it because I know the theft will only continue. It is a sad reality that too many creators face.
For this reason, I have decided to close my page temporarily. I do not have a return date set yet. I simply need to protect my passion from being drained further.
I am truly sorry, and I want you to know how much your appreciation for my work has meant to me.
The page will close in 3 days, so please download your favorite content as soon as you can.
Thank you for walking this journey with me and for all your encouragement.

2025-11-29 07:46:01 +0000 UTCThis is just my opinion but you can probably contact the websites hosting your stolen content to report that its being stolen. All the patreon and TSR posts are dated so you can prove that you posted the content first and that the other posters are the ones who stole the content. I am not a creator so I don't know for sure, but there are probably groups you can go to who will help. I know that people will share on places like reddit which creators to avoid because their work is crappy or stolen. It won't get the other content down but it might help people avoid the creators who are stealing. Of course, its your patreon page and its your content so you do whatever you think is right.

Sure it can still be traced, nothings ever 100% deleted from the internet, but it’ll just make it harder to confirm whose work is whose. I ask to reconsider only because your work is so loved by everyone; I would hate to see other people claim it as theirs.

I also hope not to be disrespectful, but I'm asking of you to please reconsider your decision. I hope I'm not overstepping my boundaries, but please don't take your Patreon down. I can't even begin to imagine how hard it is to have your content that you worked so hard on to be stolen, and I can't say I understand it at all. However, taking your Patreon down will a) most probably not help with the theft, as more people with nothing better to do and no morals whatsoever may claim your awesome content as their own, and b) Your CC is so awesome, it would be so sad if other players wouldn't be able to enjoy it if they can't download it now. Maybe they're away for the Thanksgiving weekend and when they come back, their favorite CC will be gone, maybe their computer broke and they're getting it fixed, I don't know. But what I do know is that you are an amazing individual and CC creator, and you will be sorely missed. I hope you are able to reclaim your love of creating and be OK after all of this. You are amazing and loved. 💗

That said, I respect whatever decision you decide to take. There is also no shame in changing your mind at any time. Your content lives and breathes by your consent. But we must also contend with the fact that once we release our work into the world, it really no longer belongs to us in a very philosophical sense. Its a difficult, yet necessary pill to swallow. Regardless, thank you for making several of my fave shoes. (Vive le Slingback Mary Jane Heels 01!) I still regard you as the best shoe creator for sims 4. I hope circumstances permit you to reconsider someday. Its been a rough year without new Jius shoes. ;)
