Sneak Peeks, Plans and Updates for the Week of August 22!

👋 With the end of the month rapidly approaching, it's time to finish up August's event and start planning for September and October! And if you think I have only a vague idea of what I'm gonna do....

Well.

Luckily that's what Patreon planning posts are for! Here's what's on my plate at the moment:

Script/Audio Stuff

• Record/edit the final audio of Summer Refresh
• Select potential scripts for September
• Select potential scripts for Here for the Boos
• Finish plucky slime girl script pt. 1
• Finish tsundere frog girl script
• Finish stranded starship captain script
• Finish "The Fog" inspired horror script

Administrative/BTS Stuff

• Finish sound treating new recording area
• File quarterly taxes for the channel

Patreon Stuff

• Finish editing blooper reel for Patron ears only
• Compose rec post for the end of the month

Community Stuff

• Launch the Vanilla Velvet Audio shop on youtube
• Launch channel memberships (perks are currently in review with staff! 🎉)
• Sidekick name suggestion post for youtube
• Queue up Throwback Thursday posts/polls for September
• Answer some ding dang comments!!

😰 It looks like a lot, I know! Fortunately many of these tasks aren't particularly difficult or time consuming, so I just have to buckle down and knock a bunch of 'em out the next time I have a free day. (Thursday? I hope? 🤞 C'mon, Thursday!)

What I'd really like to get to--which will take a lot of time--is comments! I've been falling waaaay behind this month. I'm something like 200+ deep just from the past week. 😬 

Part of it is that the last few days were really busy irl (I missed Friday's remaster premiere, in fact!) but I think the main problem is I used up all my charisma points this month with all the e-mails back and forth behind the scenes to get merch/memberships ready. I've just been too burnt out to interact much with listeners even though I want to! This is what happens when socialization is your dump stat, I guess. 🤣

In other news! Once I have all the potential scripts picked out for September/October, I'll be asking Patrons to help me pick which ones will be recorded! Exciting! I can't wait to get your input on Here for the Boos! I hope this year will be even better than the last.

And finally, I decided to rework next week's sequel audio thumbnail because I wanted it to be more distinct from the first:

I'm a lot happier with it! I may go back and make some tweaks to the Orc sequel thumbnail to make it pop a bit more too. We'll see!
