For a idea I was thinking superhero girlfriend with the listner being her behind of the scenes partner (costume fixer, tech specs, check if she not too hurt or if powers are acting up) also Davin Long's idea of a super mentor is a good one too.

If she’s venomous she could very sweetly explain she’s not going to hurt us or she is a constrictor type that could be even sweeter because she’d have to be careful to be gentle
