2025-08-12 04:54:39 +0000 UTCThere is a guy in south Korea that stopped another guy in the subway from stabbing people, he also got hurt stopping him. when asked in an interview how he found the courage do stop him despite the possibility of getting hurt himself, he answered "It's what Himmel would have done"

2024-12-04 23:41:54 +0000 UTCAs a former blind watcher, it was episode 2, during the flower scene that made me so hopelessly hooked on Frieren (the series). The entire time up to that point, she fails to consider or really acknowledge the reality of time for herself and others. Outside of the funeral and Heiters death. During the flower scene, when she recalled the moment when Himmel said "Someday, I'd like to show them to you.". In that flashback, the camera pans out with the two of them facing away from eachother in a seemingly an endless sky, representing the gap of time between them. To which she finally acknowledges it saying, "It took longed than expected, Himmel". That single line was so tragically powerful, that I couldn't control the tears anymore despite having so little knowledge about Himmel at the time. It was that moment from then on, I knew this series was truly something special. Can't wait for more reactions to come!

2024-11-29 12:18:09 +0000 UTCAs someone who has been watching anime for the past 27 years, Frieren absolutely has the makings of a modern classic. It's just all there. and I'm so excited to see your reactions to the later parts! Especially the bits where the anime expands upon things, so even if you read all of the manga, there's still more stuff to appreciate here too ^^

2024-11-29 09:23:12 +0000 UTCThe way my jaw dropped when watching the Zoltraak scene the first time around...not because of the epic score, or the beautiful visuals, but because here we get to observe a previously meta character get canonically powercrept, fall off, and then get BTFO by another character with such a far stronger kit that her basic attack is his strongest attack... A tale as old as time... I really felt for my man Qual there.

2024-11-29 08:27:14 +0000 UTCIt's an amazing all-rounder of a show. It can do silly SoL comedy, gut-wrenching emotional moment, mega hype action, it has it all, and it balances it all so well that it never feels out of place.

2024-11-29 01:52:30 +0000 UTCIt's so funny to me that Frieren isn't even an action-oriented anime, but still has some of the best fights I've ever seen. And it just gets better from here.

2024-11-28 22:26:09 +0000 UTCFrieren to me really is the zenith of anime as an art form. Its so subtle, its a damn good slow burn and the production value is insane. Absolutely a classic. I've found myself tearing up and also time traveling a bit too. This anime really does have a power to make you travel back in time and experience a powerful sense of nostalgia.

2024-11-28 21:40:18 +0000 UTC'It didn't have to be magic' followed by 'But you chose magic' is one of my favourite lines, it really says a lot about pursuing a passion or interest, or even any kind of career path. I think a lot of us have this preconception when we're young that whatever we end up doing in life will be specifically perfect for us (or at least that's what we hope for), but often what we actually end up doing is something we just choose to do out of necessity. I love the concept that there's still meaning and beauty behind choosing something like that, even if it isn't as romantic as the perfect possible opportunity just falling into your hands.
