{ star tier+ } Part 3 sneak peeks 05.21.24

hello once again!

as of me writing this post, i have now completed SECTION 2 OF 6 of Part 3!!!! in less than 10 days, at that! (12th-21st) this is immensely fucking faster than how long SECTION 1 took to make (april 9th-may 4th), and for that, i'm very glad that the pace is picking up. as a whole, we've gone from 14.6% to 37.8%!!! that's over a fucking third, closer to half of the video finished already!

because SECTION 1 was so incredibly dense, and don't get me wrong, the rest of the sections are also dense in their own ways, but because SECTION 2 is the first one of its kind that i consider to be mostly done in my "normal" style of editing rather than toiling over every little detail more often, it's made chugging through it MUCH easier by comparison to the first section.

i'm feeling a lot more confident now about the pace of the rest of Part 3 thanks to this, and while i will be taking a few days off somewhat, since the rest of this week has plenty of other things i am looking forward to at the moment, it will not be very long before i'm back to start work on SECTION 3. i've already split up the audio for that one to get a feel for the structure/topic flow of it, and also know roughly how i'm gonna start editing it proper. and, honestly? while it ultimately depends on how often i wanna go "okay, let me pull out The Diagrams" for this one, i have a feeling it might take slightly even less time to finish SECTION 3 compared to even SECTION 2. and that's not even going into how SECTION 4 is one of the much shorter ones compared to 2, 3, and 5...

to say the least, things are very much picking up now, and i'm very glad for it. while June does still look like it's gonna be another very busy month for me, i think if all goes well, June will be the last month that i consider to be me in the "trenches" of Part 3. that doesn't mean i'm going to be Done with it in June, but "leaving the trenches" of a video to me more or less means that i can start actually narrowing down a bit more of a release window for it.

the plan from here on, assuming no complications pop up, is that i want to try to chug through SECTION 3 and 4 of Part 3 throughout June. once those are done, i will be taking a slightly more substantial break from editing, at least for about a few weeks, not only to make sure i don't burn out mid-production (need at least a week for that), but also to account for other aspects of Part 3 aside from the video itself. if you are familiar with how i make major videos, i'm sure you can imagine what i mean by this. effectively, i want to use that break to focus on everything else surrounding Part 3, and prepare most of what i need in that regard to better narrow down the release window. once those are prepared though, i'll come back to edit the last two sections of the video, and then the outro/any remaining pieces i could possibly need for the full thing, and we should be good to go from there.

obviously, there's still a lot left to do. and it looks like it could take forever if i'm not careful. but, as i've been working on Part 3, i've been optimizing my workflow a lot more, and i think that things are especially going to pick up for SECTION 3 and 4 once i get to them. the editing may slow down a little more, i don't know if to SECTION 1's pace, but just a bit once i get to SECTION 5 and 6 since i imagine i'll want to ramp things up from that point up to the outro, but that's for future me to decide on. in any case, production is now going especially well, and i hope to keep this momentum up at least through all of June to make sure i REALLY get a lot further in. the goal is to get closer to the end of this video rather than closer to the beginning, and i think right now progress is going very well in that regard.

i don't have much more to say aside from that, though! obviously, there's some new sneak peeks/maybe an OOC clip or two attached to this post, so i hope those will suffice for yall! this is a massive video, as i've said before, but i'm only growing more confident in completing it in a timely manner the more that i manage to edit it.
