2020-12-26 08:04:35 +0000 UTCThe washing of feet at a wedding is a Christian tradition, not just Catholic, which isn't followed that much, but is based in the Bible where Jesus washed the feet of his disciples. The proper tradition though has both bride AND groom washing each other's feet as a sign of love and humility to each other.
