Across the void where stardust streams ignite, And swirling nebulae paint cosmic light, A silent law, a truth profound and deep, Where planetary forces softly sleep, Or rage in storms, a fiery, grand display, Yet hold a balance that will never stray.
The dust that coalesced to form a sphere, Through gravitational embrace, held ever near, No atom lost, no fragment disappears, But shifts and changes through the passing years. The molten core, the crust that cools and cracks, Each transformation leaves unbroken tracks.
The mountains rise, by tectonic might compelled, The valleys carve where ancient rivers swelled, Erosion whispers, grain by patient grain, Returning rock to earth, to sun, to rain. Yet every particle, though finely ground, Within the planet's bounds is surely found.
The oceans surge, in tidal ebb and flow, Responding to the moon's ethereal glow, Evaporation lifts the watery veil, To form the clouds that drift upon the gale. Then falls as rain, to nourish life below, A constant cycle, onward it will go.
The very air we breathe, a vital stream, A mixture held within Earth's vibrant dream, From ancient breaths of creatures long since gone, To future sighs beneath the coming dawn. No molecule escapes this gentle hold, A story whispered, centuries old.
The meteor's strike, a forceful, fiery tear, Dispersing matter, scattering far and near, Yet even fragments, hurled into the black, Remain within the universe's track. For energy and mass, in unity reside, A cosmic truth where nothing can truly hide.
So gaze upon the planets in their flight, Observe the stars that pierce the endless night, And know within their grand and sweeping sway, The law of conservation holds its way. A testament to balance, ever true, The universe's power, dwelling deep in you.
