Let Justice Be Done Ch. 76

As she follow the Leviathan to the Gremory Estate, Tsufaame Tereaku Leviathan tried to classify what she truly felt toward her new Satan, and Matriarch of the Leviathan Clan.

It was obviously a great honor to serve under one chosen by the Mother of Devils herself. Tsufaame had watched records of the Battle of Orkney, and couldn't be more in awe and reverence of Lady Lilith's power.

Surely the chosen of Lilith to lead the Leviathan Clan into a new era was as strong, vicious and powerful as one would expect a Satan to be. Nay, even more than her previous mother.

Tsufaame had followed Lady Leviathan into that first battle against the Greek God of Death, and while she was part of rear guarding battalion further back, under the command of one of her clan elders, thus not seeing much action. She made sure to fight with ferocity and loyalty the few times she did.

They may have lost that battle, but they have slain hundreds of Grim Reapers, and while the devils can quickly replenish their numbers thanks to the miracle of the Great Mother, the Grim Reapers don't have that privilege.

After the battle Tsufaame went to find Lady Leviathan and report to her, only to see her speed off, teleporting and flying with all her might toward Belph City.

Tsufaame had heard reports of that city being under attack but didn't think much of it. Yet when the fifteen year old Leviathan heir arrived Belph City, she saw nothing but devastation.

Bodies littered the streets, it mattered not who they were, civilian, combatant, men, women, old, young, all devils were killed.

Tsufaame found the Lady Leviathan cradling the body of one of the infants killed and thrown in a pile made by the revived Greek heroes. In fact, they had done so with multiple bodies, making piles of the dead devils to be visibly displayed, and affect Hell's morale.

Tsufaame felt ashamed and disgusted to see the new Lady Leviathan be affected by the display. To cry anguishly and openly like that over the dead. It was only playing into Hades's hands. She didn't feel pity for her Matriarch looking shocked at her hands, covered in the blood of the young devils who were massacred. She didn't. She was a devil unmoved by terror or destruction like as expected of one of her station.

Tsufaame would have discarded any respect for the Lady Leviathan in her heart, had she not seen her cries of sorrow turn to one of rage, followed by unleashing her demonic power afterwards. As Tsufaame held her own shaking hand--obviously from Lady Leviathan's power, and not at witnessing the carnage she saw at the city--she looked to Lady Leviathan with renewed awe and faith.

She was sure Lady Leviathan would lead them well, and even avenge the dead of Belph City.

That was two months ago. In the battles that followed, victory proved faint, coming sparingly and little. Yet Lady Leviathan had been ferocious in everyone of them. Jumping into the middle of their enemy's formation and ripping the blood from their veins to use against them.

Satan Leviathan had become a terror for the Grim Reapers to fight at sea or in bad weather. While yes, Hades was still a formidable opponent who slaughtered city after city, only being stopped when Lord Lucifer and other Satans combined their might against him, Tsufaame was sure they will slowly make their way to victory in this war.

Tsufaame didn't know why Lady Leviathan was visiting the Lord Gremory's home, but--

No wait, wasn't the Great Mother Lilith's last uniquely made devil being the scion of House Gremory? Ah, I see, Lady Leviathan is here to oversee to the child's development. Tsufaame nodded to herself at her conclusion.

The Lady Leviathan and Leviathan heir were welcomed by the Lord and Lady Gremory.

"Serilina! It's always a pleasure to see you," Venelana said exuding joy at seeing her friend. Tsufaame frowned at the casualness, the Duchess address the Satan. "Or should I say 'Lady Leviathan' now." She asked in a teasing tone.

"Please don't, I already get enough of that from my family, the clan and troops." Lady Leviathan said with a dismissive huff as she smiled at familiar greeting and tone. Tsufaame restrain any criticism as she understood her Matriach valued Lady Gremory, thus was an exception to formalities.

"Then it is wonderful to see and have you here, Serilina, Lady Tsufaame." Zeoticus said as he gave a bow, making Serilina chuckle. Tsufaame nodded at him addressing her formally and returned his greeting.

"Say, where's Tooly? I've been wanting to see the little troublemaker." Serilina said with a smirk, as the group entered the castle, accompanied by servants to meet their demands.

"She looked so excited to meet her 'favorite aunt', and then disappeared." Venelana said with a chuckle. "She'll deny ever saying those words of course, but I'm sure she'll turn up in a suitably dramatic fashion." She huffed and shook her head.

Serilina smiled at the mention of the girl and her antics. "She's five months now, right? What does she look like now?" She asked.

"I would say she definitely looks twelve now. She hasn't--"

As the group entered the main dining hall, the lights suddenly went out. Tsufaame prepared herself for battle, summoning her demonic power ready for any assassin.

Then a light from the ceiling shined on a single throne chair at the end of the room.

"Welcome, Satan of the Darkest of Depth." A booming child's voice echoed in the room as the light returned one by one.

The large throne was levitating off the ground, and slowly spinning to show the one who orchestrated this situation.

"Oh dear," Venelana covered her face, as Zeoticus looked to the side holding a closed hand to his mouth.

Serilina raised an eyebrow, with a smile anticipating something funny. Tsufaame was the only one assessing the danger of this newcomer as is right for the Lady Leviathan's future right hand woman.

"Welcome! To this house of cards, built upon deception and treachery. A true home to the denizens of darkness--"

The throne landed back on the ground as the magic holding it up expired. It was only a quarter of the way turned.

"Hold on, one moment." The girl on the throne said.

CREENGK. CREENGK. CREENGK.

The redheaded tried to turn the throne while still sitting on it, but all she accomplished was making the legs screech against the floor.

"Balaila, come help me." The Gremory Scion called out.

"It's Barbara." Said a voice from behind one of the pillars in the room.

"That's what I said, Barbara, come help. The confounded levitation crystal had been sabotaged!" Tuilelaith cried out.

Sabotage? Within the Gremory household? This was truly a serious issue. Thought Tsufaame as she looked for what could have caused this. Was there a traitor in the Gremory's midst as the young heir had stated.

And to live with such knowledge casually. I might need to reevaluate the Gremory Heir. They appear very adaptable despite the danger they are in. Tsufaame thought.

"You forgot to recharge it after playing with it for so long, Young Miss." Barbara said.

"I wasn't playing with it! I, I was...I was calibrating it!" Tuilelaith reprimanded her servant's ignorance.

Tsufaame nodded in approval, as it was always important to check your own equipment.

A red haired servant, one of the Genesis Devils, walked out from behind a pillar near the chair, pushed it all the way around, allowing Tuilelaith Gremory to be visible to her house's guest for the first time.

Barbara walked back behind the pillar.

"A-hem," Tuilelaith cough in her hand, and started again. "Welcome, Satan of Dark Waters, Ruler of the Seas, nay the Oceans of Hell!" Loud music of piano and organs played as Tuilelaith spoke. "Please join us for dinner, of course you will not be upon it, but the bounty of our lands." She then steepled her fingers, as she gave a sinister smile. "Will you be staying the night, or prehaps...staying here forever."

Petals started to fall upon Tuilelaith...being thrown by Barbara from a basket she was holding.

To speak with subtle veiled threats to a Satan. Is this child insane or ill disciplined? Tsufaame frowned and was about to address the Gremory Heir's disrespect, only for Serilina to speak first.

"Sorry, Tooly. This is just a visit. I promise to stay longer to play next time." Serilina said with a smile. "Now come give your favorite auntie a hug." She said with a grin as she spread her arms.

"Ha! Do you think leaving the lion's den is as easy as entering it?" Tsufaame's eyes widened at the now obvious threat. Was this child planning a coup, and at such a young age! "I'm afraid Lady Satan, that upon arriving to this house of dark deceit, you have entered into the machinations of something beyond your comprehension. You have entered into a game that began far before your arrival, far before time itself. For you see--" Tuilelaith started coughing as one of the petals entered her mouth. "Dammit, Balaila, you're suppose to throw the petals at the end, not now!"

"Oh. Sorry, Young Miss. Also it's Barbara." Said Barbara, not stopping her throwing of petals.

"That's what I said," petals continued to fall on Tuilelaith. "And stop throwing the petals already!" Tuilelaith stood up, and dramatically directed her arm at her servant, summoning her demonic power. She wanted to telekinetically take the basket from her disobedient servant.

Except Tuilelaith misjudged the strength needed for the spell and pulled too hard.

The petal basket flew into the air from Barbara's arms. Everyone watched at it arched in the air and began to fall down.

Right onto Tuilelaith covering her head.

"AH! I'VE BEEN BLINDED! HOISTED BY MY OWN PETARD! WHAT CRUEL IRONY OF FATE IS THIS!?" Tuilelaith flailed around as she didn't see where she was going, knocking on of the statues around causing a chain effect to knock other valuable vases and artworks to fall.

"Oh come on! Not again!" Zeoticus went and used his magic to catch the art and furniture falling, the servants helping him.

Venelana facepalmed, and Serilina was belly laughing.

It was the first time Tsufaame had heard her laugh since the sight of Belph City.

"Ah, it seems our guest is already enjoying themselves. Such a simple task for one of my abilities." Said Tuilelaith laying on the floor, Barbara having caught her and helped her take off the basket.

She had been trying to cheer up the Lady Leviathan this whole time, thus ensuring our Lady Satan's morale and well being. This...this is foresight beyond my own ability. Tsufaame's eyes widened.

Tsufaame was looking at Tuilelaith in new light. It seems Great Mother Lilith's Last True Devil Child was powerful in ways beyond strength. It required Tsufaame to study the girl more closely.

Looks like Tooly got a new friend in Tsufaame there.
