Let Justice Be Done Ch. 57
Added 2021-10-06 17:33:49 +0000 UTCSerilina thought she would feel different.
Ever since her...promotion, Serilina was thrown into situations where responsibility was on her shoulders.
The Leviathan household had surprisingly accepted her, as if it was natural. When she encountered resistance, and attempt at stalling her orders from those that weren't there, when Lilith declared her the new Leviathan, she confronted them.
"Regardless of whether you approve or not, I am Leviathan."
She had spoken with authority, showing her power, aura and all, and they fell in line.
Serilina was now in command of the Leviathan, their territories, along with her original family, the Sitri and had to deal with allies for both families and the like.
She had done an acceptable job. No revolts in her territories. No intentional insubordination, just careless incompetence.
She consulted those who knew the best general training methods, and prepared her troops for the war to come with Hades, while finding and creating squads for specialized training for emergent talents.
A talk with her father about delegation had her give different jobs and positions to people in the Leviathan Family so as to prepare the next generation which would be made nearly entirely of Ultimate Class devils.
This seemed to have elated the Leviathan devils, it seemed the original Leviathan would just order everything herself, and if others took up tasks, that happened to disagree with her in any way she would punish them. It made her territory strict on rules, but very slow in implementing anything.
So far, all devils under her command, seem satisfied with her and respect her.
Even Lucifer praised her for taking up her role well, and gave her the job of dealing with the leftover devils, who after the Sundering Day, were left without anyone to care for them, as they were too removed from the main Pillar Family they were from.
Satan Lucifer gave her the job of collecting those orphans, and sending them to their appropriate families or giving them a job, or do as she wills with them.
Serilina quickly and efficiently gathered up the leftover devils into Belph City, turning it into an education and training center, as the war effort demanded too much of her attention, to send each and every one to their different families.
She at least send a message to all the Pillar Families to send someone, to see if any of their bloodline was among the leftover devils. This method so far, had been a success, but Serilina was sure of that, and didn't have time to check.
And yet, the lingering worry and fear in her stomach didn't subside. It always felt like she was walking a tight rope, and any wrong move would have everything crumbling on top of her.
Then the meeting with the other Satans happened and the constant fear in her stomach was more prominent.
Fighting Hades, even with Lucifer by her side, even if it's a distraction, it was madness. She knew he was one of the strongest being around, all Death Gods were for the most part, something to trend carefully around. A divine being whose domain was Death itself? Of course it wasn't an opponent one can simply beat.
And Hades was among one of the most prominent pantheons in the whole world, one could even say equal to the Hindu. At least that's what the rumors said.
Serilina shook her head as she left the meeting, and went to gather her troops to be stationed in Mammon City.
Meeting the other Satans was...a mostly harmless experience. Beelzebub proved to be an annoyance, and Leviathan's memories didn't change that impression.
Asomdeus was...different.
When she first met him, she could see the resemblance to Raguel somewhere in his face, but his attitude and mannerisms killed that thought. He felt...not empty, but as a beast that hasn't found his prey, his interest yet.
She already knew Lucifer, and was careful around him, it's why she didn't fight his plans for the battle against Hades too much, merely try and adjust them to account for what different sectors of the devil population needs.
Maybe she should have been more defiant. Treating this war as something that will last, rather than something to try and finish as fast as possible. Maybe then...that wouldn't have happened.

"Hey...are we really going to do this?" Diomedes asked.
"We have our orders." Odysseus replied.
"Yet Achilles isn't here." Diomedes pointed out.
"Because he's a fucking coward that can't stomach doing what must be done." Agamemnon came to their scouting position. "Any changes?"
"...None. Patrols and defenses are still the same." Diomedes replied.
"Then we attack the moment the signal is sent." Agamemnon grunted and walked away.
Diomedes looked at the city with a scowl.
"Don't forget what our enemy is, Diomedes." Odysseus said, trying to comfort his friend.
"Yeah...Yeah I know."

The speed of the first battle Serilina was in command of was like having sex for the first time.
At first things were slow, as the armies of Reapers arrived, Hades at the helm. Serilina had commanded her troops, the other Satans doing the same. They all engaged the Reapers and Hades, each doing their roles.
Serilina was of course at the head of the attack, being one of the strongest devils there.
And then everything seemed to come fast, as it all happened at once.
Hades was a terrifying presence, and she had to use her whole might to avoid or parry his attacks. She was horrified by the idea that this was him weakened, yet she had to persist. Lucifer was, against all odds, a comforting presence.
Mainly because most of Hades's wrath was concentrated on him.
The situation with the Reapers was surprisingly good. Better than good even.
Asmodeus seemed to have discovered his niche, as he used his Flames of Passion at a too large scale that it seemed ineffective at first. This distrust began to run rampant across the Reapers army.
Orders was refused, or not delivered. Comrades that would work together would try to work alone, only causing them to die one by one.
While Pluto and Orcus fought Asmodeus and Beelzebub two on two, the two Satan's attacks were too large scale, that the two Ultimate Class Reapers couldn't respond to them.
While Asmodeus fought Pluto, flames to death scythe, those same flames were spread out far and wide, breeding distrust into the Reapers army. And as Orcus and Beelzebub fought insects shooting poison beams, those same insects were so numerous that they could attack all the Reapers acting alone.
Things were coming around to the devils' side.
In fact the longer Serilina fought Hades by Lucifer's side, the more she realized...they could do this.
The two Satans were a match for Hades, able to hold him back.
Maybe...Maybe even win.
And that sent alarm bells in Serilina's head. It should be possible. She felt the Greek Gods' strength during the Battle of Orkney and knew Hades was stronger than this. Yet it didn't seem like he was holding back, or not taking them seriously. He was genuinely fighting with all he's got, and Serilina and Lucifer could still match him.
"Oh? You really were too hasty in your revival, Hades. Maybe you should take a few centuries before centuries before coming back to attack us." Lucifer smirked. "Not that you'll get the chance."
"You brought a considerable number of devils here. You're really taken this seriously, huh." Hades said in the paused in battle, and made a show of looking at the dueling armies. "So have I."
Suddenly a portal by Olympian Magic opened and from it poured the Greek Heroes that were retired in Elysium.
Before Serilina could react, she found someone had jumped into her face, and she used her blade to block, only to find her weapon locked in strike with a spear, and the force of the attack, flying her away from the battle with the Greek Death God.
Serilina shouted and she pushed back her attacker, now focusing on him, to see a man with a handsome face, and a unique invincible armor that was very recognizable.
An armor that wasn't durable to protect its wearer, but to help them fight longer, as much as they want.
In the hero's hand was a large spear and mighty shield.
"You're..." Serilina's eyes widened. "Achilles."
"Aye, and before we do this, I have to say something." He said with her, a concerned look on his face, which threw her off. "As much as I would love nothing but a battle of thrill and glory, I feel at the very least you should be warned by this."
"What? Warn me? Why the hell would you warn me? And why should I believe you?" Serilina fired back.
"Believe me or not, I don't care. At the very least as a leader on the Devil's side, someone should know. This attack is a diversion. Hades intents to wide out all devils, and won't even let you have the resources to survive the future."
"Yes, we know that." Serilina began pulling up her Demonic Power to summon the Leviathan trait, if this Greek Hero wanted to stall by saying nothing of import.
"I mean, 'all devils'. Hades doesn't plan to spare anyone," dread filled Serilina's heart, as if she already knew what was coming, but didn't want to hear it. The sorrow in Achilles's eyes, killed that doubt. "Including your young. None will be spared, and no resources is to be left for the Devils." He spoke.
Serilina used a bit of her power to cast a communication spell.
"Belph City is going to be under attack by now." Achilles raised his spear. "I'm sorry."
Serilina turned to fly away.
"Stay and fight!" Lucifer's voice came to her through magic.
"But Lord Lucifer--!" Serilina shouted back.
"They have a hundred Ultimate Class Devils stationed there, if they can't defend themselves, they don't deserve to live. Do not turn your back to your enemy." He commanded.
Serilina's eyes widened, as she was given a direct order.
Achilles looked at her in sorrow, and to that Serilina could only scream in rage, as she attacked him with the Sea Serpent of the End, wanting, hoping she could finish the battle quickly and make it back in time.
