Let Justice Be Done Ch. 53

"So, the first thing we should expect is a guide appointed by the Queen, who will act as our supervisor once we make it to the Ice Crystal Palace."

"Hm," Raguel nodded, his attention on the window pointing to the front of the cart, showing the dinosaur pulling the carriage.

"We're going to be staying at the guest wing of the palace, along with our supervisor, during that time if we happen to see the Queen, and she does not acknowledge us, we do not intrude on her or bother her in anyway. If she does acknowledge her, we don't bring up her summon of us."

"Hm," Raguel said, still looking at the freaking dinosaur.

"The supervisor will be responsible for our movement within the Snow World, and depending on how beneficial our relationship with them is, they might introduce us to some of their connections, who would try to bring up topics or get us to carry favor with the Queen for their issues."

Occasionally the dinosaur would turn its long neck and look back, lock eyes with Raguel who would excitingly wave at it. His happy childish smile hasn't lessened since they left the house at the bottom of the lake.

"Hm, hm," Raguel nodded again. The dinosaur looked back, Raguel waved at it.

"So, it's important that we cultivate a good relation with the supervisor, and whom ever they introduce us to, during the time we'll spend in the Snow World."

"Hm," Raguel made a noise, waiting for the dinosaur to look back.

"Raguel," he turned to see the deadpan look Viviane was giving him. "Are you listening to me?" He nodded rapidly, the silly closed mouth childish smile still on his face. "Are you focusing on my words?" Viviane sighed.

"...No," Raguel looked down, pouting that he was worrying his wife and not treating the situation seriously as he should. But...but Dinosaur!

Raguel kicked his legs, hanging from the couch they were sitting on, with legs that was too tall. The Archangel was sure this was some subtle insult, but he didn't care, moving his dangling legs was fun.

Every once in a while, he would give Viviane a side eye look, before looking back down pouting, to appear small, vulnerable and cute. It was all meant to not make her feel too angry at him, or just angry in general, and ruin her mood.

Viviane looked up and closed her eyes. This is the man I married. Then she looked back down to see Raguel still doing the cute little angel routine.

She sent him a telepathic feeling, telling him that that tactic doesn't work, when they have a telepathic link, and she can tell what he's doing.

Raguel leaned his head toward her, look up with more doe eyes, and even pushed his bottom lip forward.

Viviane's lips twitch, as she forced down the laugh, since she could feel the shamelessness being sent from their link.

This adorable stupid man I married.

"Raguel, stop acting like a child and be serious." She had to use her glamour to appear disapproving. No, she didn't care that he could see through her fae magic.

Raguel poked her at the side of her waist.

"Eeeyaha!"Vivane covered her mouth, her eyes wide, at letting out that laugh.

"Viviane," Raguel said with a smug grin, holding up a finger. "This is a serious discussion."

She knew his intent from their link.

"Don't you dare!" Viviane warned, even flaring up her magic aura as a warning.

Raguel spread his wings and jumped at his wife, who ran away firing non-lethal ice spells to push her husband away, and stop him from tickling her.

"Gotch'you!" Raguel finally glomped Viviane.

"Nooooo!" She cried out, but was still smiling and laughing, tears nearly in her eyes.

"Why are you squirming, I haven't even done anything yet?" Raguel chuckled, as Viviane kept trying to get out of his hold, but really putting in much effort.

They heard a large grumble, which was the laughter of the dinosaur pulling them.

"Eeek!" Quickly, an embarrassed Viviane jumped out of Raguel's hold, who sensing the change in the mood, immediately let her go. Raguel could feel her embarrassment for acting in a silly manner, in front of someone she didn't know, even if it was just a magical creature.

Viviane sat on the central couch of the carriage, back straight, looking prim and proper, her magic working to return her previous non-disheveled look.

Raguel took a seat next to her, not bothering to fix himself.

Only for Viviane to drop a bucketful of water on him, with her magic, which then  acted to fix his looks, while said 'water' quickly drying out.

Raguel gave her a deadpan look, while Viviane returned an innocent doe eyed look.

With the feelings passed by their bond, and just from the mood, they couldn't hold their look for long before, finding themselves laughing together once more.

"Vivi," Viviane looked to back to see Raguel's comforting smile, as he said next to her, and side hugged her. "It's going to be fine, okay? We'll just deal with this like we always did, and we have our bond to talk, so we aren't tricked or deceived," Viviane found herself leaning against him, feeling more relaxed, and reassured that things will be fine, as Raguel had been taking this situation seriously. "And if things be too much, too bad, or too dangerous, we can just burn it all to the ground."

"Don't!" Viviane found herself laughing again.

The dinosaur let out a cry, as it seemed to be laughing with them.

Raguel observed how the Royal Carrier--the dinosaur's title--was traveling through the Fae Realm, it seemed to swim through a sea of energy.

Using the Binah Sephira, Raguel could see that the Fae Realm is made of multiple different pocket dimensions, contained within a massive spirit world.

The Royal Carrier circumvented the distance between places, but just skiing on the edge of the pocket dimension to carry itself toward its destination.

Fascinating. Raguel thought.

Then the Snow World came into view, which to Raguel's empowered vision looked like a massive snow globe from the outside.

Upon entering the Snow World, Raguel's attention was caught on something else.

It wasn't the beautiful landscape made of permafrost ice, or that the world looked like a winter wonderland.

No. The only focus Raguel had, was on the massive soul he could feel encompassing, and sweeping into every facet of every part of this pocket world, its structure, and even the very air.

Following that aura that made up this world to its source, as he suspected, it let to the heart of the Ice Crystal Palace.

Raguel Saw the Winter Queen before physically seeing her, and she Looked back and Saw him.

Raguel pulled back his sight out of politeness.

"Huh, so that's the Winter Queen." He hummed, somewhat impressed and appreciative of this new experience. He began constructing a spell so that his Light could generate air for him and Viviane to breathe.

Might as well not "push" on the Winter Queen's "generosity" or whatever faux pas, if they happen to offend her, and she says the air itself was a gift from her.

"What did you do?" Viviane asked in alert.

"So I Saw that this whole pocket dimension is an extension of the Winter Queen. Pretty neat." Raguel nodded as he finished the spell, that had a minor cost, and cast it on himself and Viviane, who just looked at him with confusion. He sent her what he knew through their link. "Also she Saw that I Saw her too, so she might accuse us of being voyeurs or something."

"WHAT!?" Viviane cried out. They haven't even landed yet, and her husband might have caused an incident with the Winter Queen.

Viviane was beginning to wonder which was worse for her poor heart, the Winter Court politics or her husband's antics.
