Well, all I really have left now is the apathy. My elbows are officially... snapped. Ha. When will Alicia/Gaea die? The helplessness is annoying and the sob story background is insulting. Not that she's awful or anything. I just can't be bothered to invest myself.

I'm really hoping Loren gets a chance to go back and properly save Mara. She was such an interesting character that her being perma-dead is almost heartbreaking.

So, Mara may be dead after all the crap she's been through. How... unsatisfying. Though that dissatisfaction may be my increasing apathy and impotent rage pretending to be a more palatable emotion. Now that we've met a member of Meteor, I'm guessing things will get worse? Assuming I'm not wrong to think he's being watched, that is. At least we didn't have to see Loren become a vegetable. Though I doubt this story will end before we see that at least for a chapter or so.

it never fails. every time i give in and pay a patreon fee to get ahead on chapters, they go and do something that's a total gut punch and story dealbreaker for me. i can't fuckin win for losing man, everything is just too depressing, after it was getting so good.

Wow. That was brutal. Before that scene I thought the mc would consider keeping this loop. A few less then perfect outcomes but waiting for perfection is a fools game. So I was wondering if he could be convinced to stop if they solved paragon. But nope popped her noggin.

Wow. That was a surprisingly wholesome reconciliation between the two of them. If I don't go with the "Alana is actually Deceitful" theory for this loop, it makes me feel some hope for their friendship/romantic involvement in the future.

Alana is totally Deceitful. I am almost certain. The best way for things to go horribly wrong is for her to have been murdered and replaced and she hasn't taken off her helmet since. She hasn't been chiming in with her power stuff and I HIGHLY doubt emotions are what is causing that. I'm just waiting for this particular loop to end and for things to be fucked beyond belief by something like Lecture fucking with Loren.

Huh, I'm both surprised and not surprised he lashed out with Alana as the target. It's even more of a tragedy, and at the same time, a good thing for their post-loop relationship that she'll never have first hand memories of this, only second hand angst if Loren tells her about it. Oh, on that note, while this is completely unrelated/unimportant to larger concerns like Epilogue, the bombings, Paragon, etc., is there a chance of Loren and Alana getting an opportunity to date after this ends? It'll be a bit uneven at first, given their difference in experience, but not completely unworkable and not necessarily a bad thing.

Just read ch. 60, finally got to find out who the spy at HQ is and evidence of Loren's improved critical thinking since the loop began. Just thought I'd point out a small mistake. "“Did you get all that?” Raindancer said, talking to Wraith over the earpiece. “Yeah. How long? Tag didn’t even back us up over the Dovetail thing, you sure you want to trust her with this? I can do it.” Tag removed her hand from her ear." should be "Raindancer removed her hand from her ear", right?

Nah, too many layers of deception. Plus something would've happened by now with Epilogue knowing about the time loop through her. Also I sure I hope not. This is the first time Iza's gotten a break, though carrying this forward will take ending this loop situation.

Thanks for the kind words buddy, I'm glad you've enjoyed it so far. As it stands three seasons seems like the sweet spot. I've had the ending in mind for a while now, but there's a few points I want to hit before we get there.

Just discovered this novel on scribblehub. Didn't expect much and just started skimming the early chapters only to realise I had stopped skimming at some point and couldn't stop reading. Which means it's pretty good as far as I'm concerned. Don't let the haters get to you, I think you're striking a good balance between the good and tragic outcomes. Especially since this seems to be focused on long term character development with Loren growing and overcoming his emotional and mental issues during the loop, whilst trying not to develop new ones in the process. I can see it slowly heading towards a positive outcome at the end even if he has to go through a lot of painful and tragic events in the mean time. Some people though, assume that if gratification isn't imminent then it's never coming and refuse to wait. No patience. I'm all on board though. Keep up the good work! Mind if I ask how many "seasons" you see Reroll going for?

I was a little miffed by the issue in chapter 51. We know that his power was triggered by the fight when he was a kid. It was only recently that he got a power that helped him remember/lost the power that made him forget. Wanting to help Mara is an okay motivation, but he shouldn’t be worrying about paradoxing his power away.

I got a question about the end of 46, with Alana, and the middle of 47. It was kind of ambigous, so what I guessI'm asking is if they banged? The reason I'm asking is becasue 46 ends off with Alana's coat dropping, and 47 begins without Loren commenting or even mentioning about the night before, like it didn't happen. Then in the middle of the chapter they talk about Alana not wearing her mask. So I'm kind of confused abouit it. I'm kind of slow in understanding if it isn't explicitly stated. Even the stuff with Emma, I still am not sure if they did it that one time or are just good friends lol.

Chapter 47 -I've decided to drop this after the last chapter. (Spoilers ahead) The whole pheromone thing really. It does explain pretty much every interaction from a readers standpoint, and that is the issue. It's not the only reason, just what tipped the jar over for me. Since it is part of him, every time he meets a man he will a -10 reputation with him. He even asks himself if all his interactions were because of this. And they every obviously were. Even Emma was likely only interested in him because she lived next to him for too long. That's depressing. Depressing on a level that is turning this into a tragedy/angst story. It has actually been going into that direction for a while, what with Epilogue, the dead friend, the brain washed school nurse, and such stuff, and the romance undertones were mostly what kept it somewhat light hearted. But this just throws all that out of the windows. It felt like we are looking at a realistic take on what it would be like for a world with super powers, but we are looking it from Lorens POV, where he seems to have gotten a great power, but the author is bashing him so hard and everyone around him that even an alien god messing with them would be a bit of a stretch (yes, a Worm reference). The Reroll-verse become even more grimdark then the Worm-verse, and that is saying something. I just don't see it recovering from this, as in, I doubt it can be anything other then a tragedy at this point, a tone shift for this story wouldn't really work. Even the chapter before, I was a bit baffled why Alana suddenly decided to sleep with him, they were friends and I was hoping for a complex relationship of him getting her out of her shell, and her giving him some emotional stability given his powers via plain hard logic. But no, it was him brainwashing girls to sleep with him... What kind of life did he live in this time? He was supposedly stuck in a mental hospital, so was he affecting the female stuff there? Did he have orgies with them as well, given this power of his? How did he never figure out the effect he has on people? Did he just think he is a chick magnet? Just... ugh. So being Loren, stuck in this kind of reality with a time reversal power.. it's kind of a horror show... well, there is a reason why people like Re:Zero for it's OTHER characters, and not for Subaru. For a better take on this kind of time travel, I'd recommend Blessed Time and Mother of Learning, for anyone interested. I believe striking a balance between the depressing fact of him traveling back and basically losing everything that happened in that time, with more hopeful tones like in those just works better. At least for me. Not much fan of pure angst.

Ya I agree that loren isnt perfect, but he doesnt have to be. Why should he? He developed so much already, and a lot of complaints have been subsumed by his growing charecter arc.

I subbed specifically for ReRoll. Love the story. The character development is great. The season 2 flashback transition could probably use a little more clarity, like “8 years ago...”. But keep it up. I have to assume this story is outside of your usual style, since a lot of people are ragging on Loren in these comments, but hopefully new readers can make up for that.

It's a flashback. This is all in the past, and the main character accidentally wiped his mind, hence his surprise at having powers when the story starts.

Chapter 36 - Now I really don't know what is going on.... is the whole story going to end with the "it was all a dream" thing? I hope not. I am extremely confused. Anyone else?

Chapter 34 was pretty bad for me. It feels like there is a lot of forced drama going on now. How many characters do we even have at this point? More then there are chapters. I don't even remember most of them. So, why did he get his powers at that specific moment? Is there a connection between Emma and him? Or was it a coincidence? Who the heck is Epilogue now? It feels like the story is suffering from way too many characters and plot threads. Yes, there is a mystery element to it, but we are 34 chapters in and the only thing that was answered is who killed Superman.. I mean Paragon. And even that is not explored yet. This is supposed to be the end of the Season? Like a book? Nothing is resolved. My main issue with the last chapter is that Loren let himself get killed by someone who seems to have the ability to absorb the power of person they kill. So they killed an immortal who randomly swaps powers. And that immortal let them.. for reasons. Why did he do it? He has the ability to travel back when he wills it, so why let himself get killed by the Sylar ripoff from Heroes, why let himself feel the pain of death when he can just will himself back. Yes, there is the survivors guilt he seems to exhibit, but if he is already on that level of crazy... well, what's the point of the second season? The level of stupid Loren showed at the end there is way over the top. At first he seemed unlikeable but for reasons and that made him realistic, now he just seems unlikeable and completely irrational. The only excuse he has is losing touch with reality and I am never a fan of unreliable narrators/MCs. This is turning into too much of an angst/psychological story, and not the type I like.

Wraith, I really hope she's not the one behind it. It would be so sad. On a more positive note, she's really the most heroic character of this story so far. Morally upright, incredibly clever, polite almost to a fault. Well you still don't want to be on her bad side, because even if she's good she's also talented.

Sorry, I've been busy the last couple of days so it's taking me a while to start replying to everything. Originally there was going to be a more internal dialogue about how he was finding it increasingly difficult to wait until Thursday and how all of the deaths were weighing on him. He is a hypocrite, but it is hypocrisy coming from a, uh, good place? You've all noticed that he is prone to making changes to his plans on the fly, in this case succeeding for the first time in a while (actually getting Wraiths attention in a non-hostile way) he dropped all his hopes on the hero having a solution that would work. Not the case obviously, because wraith is very ah, logical probably isn't the best word, ruthless might be closer, but I'm sure you get my meaning. Thanks for the feedback man!

Yep gotta agree he's a hypocrite for the about face stance on the explosion but he is working with faulty info and changing his mind on the fly. It's kinda his thing and I love him for the flaws 😂. Also WAP I laughed pretty hard. Had a girl actually do the dance for me once had no clue what it was about until someone explained it to me. Sheltered country boy ftw!

Loren is such a hypocrite, he planned on waiting on the explosion for more info, then as soon as he lets someone else in the know, and they want to wait for more info, he gets upset and tries to argue against something he already planned on doing EDIT: Loren is still awesome, but it kills me that he was arguing against something he already planned to do/typo
