April Dormitory Diary Entry - Kimura

The other day, some junior animators joined our studio. Their first day consisted of half in-between animation training and half etiquette lectures. Seeing them reminded me of myself at their stage and how hard I had to struggle.
I was among the in my studio to graduate and become an in-between animator, so I had no seniors that I could consult. I was super worried because I had no reference. I had no way to know if I was doing my job correctly, if my drawing speed was too slow, etc. Also, I worked remotely a lot, so I couldn’t grasp what my boss thought about my work. I remember being in a constant panic.
I don’t want my juniors to feel like I did, so I look forward to sharing some of the knowledge and information that I wish I’d known when I was in their shoes.
Moving on, I was able to draw 220 frames this month!! Getting over 200 frames right at the start of my second year is a pretty good start if you ask me. Now I just need to make sure that I don’t get too prideful and keep that number up consistently.

こんにちは。動画マン２年目に突入しました。木村です。４月分の寮生日記を投稿します。
先日、会社に後輩が入ってきてくれました。１日目から半日は動画研修、もう半日はマナー講習をしたようです。自分の時のことを思い出して、色々な苦労が合ったことを思い出しました。
私は会社の新卒動画マンの一期生だったため参考にする先輩がいなくて悩みました。同期も一人しかいなく、「動画が上手くできているのか」、「描くスピードは遅くないのか」などがわからずものすごく不安でした。また、リモートワークだったこともあり、上司がどんな反応をしているのかわかりにくく、ずっと焦っていたことを覚えています。後輩には同じような思いをしてほしくないので、自分が早くに知りたかった情報や知識を少しずつ話していこうと思っています。
さて、今月の動画枚数なのですが２２０枚描くことが出来ました！！２年目にはいってすぐに初の２００枚超えを達成できてとてもいいスタートをきれたと思います。ここで慢心しないでコンスタントに月200枚をこなせるようになっていきたいです。
