March Dormitory Diary Entry - Kuroda

Nice to meet you, I’m Kuroda. I’ll be an animator starting this April.

Here is my introductory dormitory diary entry for March.

I went to see my own art exhibit for graduation today. I tried my hand at a projection mapping piece, but I feel that if I had tweaked things just a bit more, I could have made something more true to the art form. I also felt some scenes could be better explored by tacking on some animation. I came out of it wishing that I’d been more particular about my choices and thinking that I should’ve improved upon a few things.

But, seeing people stand and stare at my art, I feel glad that I made it.

The idea that even more people may see my artwork from here on makes me want to work harder than I ever have.

On my way back from the exhibit, I mistook my friend’s business card for an electronic train ticket and tried to pass through the gate with it.

That’s who you’re stuck with, but I look forward to being here with you.

はじめまして、黒田です。4月からアニメーターになります。

3月のはじめての寮生日記の投稿です。

本日、自身の卒業制作展を観に行ってきました。プロジェクションマッピングに挑戦したのですが、もう少しこうすればプロジェクションマッピングっぽくなったのでは？やアニメーションとしてこういうシーンを付け足せばより伝わるのでは？、この作画をもっとこだわればよかったなど色々改善したいことが出てきました。

でも立ち止まってみてくれている人をみたらあー、作ってよかったなぁって。

これから、もっとたくさんの人に自分が描いたものを観られるかと思うとこれまで以上に頑張らねばと思います。

卒業制作展の帰りに友人の名刺を磁気定期券と間違えて改札口に通してしまいました。
