my girl got me the book and usually i don’t like watching adaptations bc they almost always suck but this one was truly great. i feel like a movie might not do it justice just bc the whole mystery around his father played such a big role throughout the book, i made the same assumption you did btw i felt like we’d find out something disgusting about the grand father but i liked the simplicity behind it. a great story about love, loss, family and grief. it’s not a fun show to binge so thank you for that 🙏🏾 i’ll request something less depressing next month lmao
