I’m still learning lipsync but here are the best tips I‘ve learned from others and from practise! Of course they don’t need to be followed to a tea but I’ve noticed keeping those tips in mind help make the lipsync look more natural and realistic!
ANOTHER UNDERRATED TIP:
put the mouth frames/lipsync a frame or two earlier in the animation than what you might think they should be because not only do we shape the mouth before making the actual sound, but we take in imagery slower than audio so although it might be on beat, for most it won’t appear as such! It might even appear on beat for you, but that could often be because of how many times you’ve looked through the animation and know what will happen etc! This is one of my favorite tips to keep in mind!!
