Pin hanger pattern
Added 2021-01-02 16:15:33 +0000 UTCA little unique and different project which was super fun to make!
Instructions:
Line up double folded fabric and measure out pattern
Cut and pin and sew edges (don’t forget to leave a big enough hole to flip inside out)
Flip inside out and sew together the hole
(you can skip these first steps completely if you have fabric that won’t fray and lightweight pins)
Cut and paint edges or entire wooden dowel (grill sticks or even straws can work as cheap alternatives if you’re careful)
Fold over the top (enough for the dowel to fit) and sew on backside
Put in the dowel through the sewn tunnel and tie/fasten string or chains with preferred length to hang up. I recommend adding a small hoop for hanging and glue if the dowel isn’t snug to the applied hanging material!
Done! A fun twist could be to do some nice embroidery before sewing together the pieces (or after to get it properly aligned)
