AMP Chapter 50 [First 5 Pages]

I actually am not sure how I want to end this one. At first, it was gonna get pretty long, because I know how the next events in the story are gonna play out. But, then I thought it might be better to just end it on a more fitting note, rather than keep going into the next stuff that could better fit into next chapter. But, that means it'll be a tad shorter than usual.
I say that like 8000 to 9000 words isn't a good length when it is. I'm just so used to going 11k to 13k+ words per chapter without even meaning to.
But, this first scene is long. Like, 10 pages long. And none of the other scenes felt like proper sneak peaks. So, instead I'll show you guys the first 5 pages, jumping in right where the last chapter left off.
Then, I'll post the new chapter here, and then publicly the day after.
Not sure yet on the title for this chapter yet.
Maybe "Catch Up" or the good ol' "Daddy Issues"

That's why I really enjoyed this snippet; I obviously don't know how much research you've done, but the exchange nailed the issues Japan has with melding japanese family and Japanese work culture. I've never been to Japan, but in order to make money at university, I was an EAL teacher, and I taught a lot of Japanese kids at summer schools, and a lot of the time the kids talked about the very same issues you've brought up in that snippet; fathers barely being around, mothers left to raise the kids, all of that... hell, the reason I got to meet a bunch of the kids was because them getting sent to the UK to learn English was the 'Summer Holiday Daycare whilst parents are at work' equivalent. And those are issues for kids whose fathers work in Japan; the Midoriya situation is that writ large because Hisashi works abroad.

2024-08-25 13:08:50 +0000 UTCYes and no It's kinda those things, but there's the big factor for Izuku of "I pretty much have no idea who this man is" That's something you shouldn't have to say about your father. And yes, Hisashi's work is very demanding, both Izuku and Inko say so themselves However, they know his job. They know there no way he couldn’t have come home quite a few times over the last 5 years. Not to mention the other awkward aspect of Izuku kinda sorta maybe replaced Hisashi unintentionally It's just a complicated situation

I don't know if it's what you're going for, but it read a lot like Hisashi's honestly trying in a shit situation (*desperately tries not to start long rant about Japanese work culture*) and Izuku's stubbornness and resentment is stopping him from giving that opening, at least partly to protect himself from getting attached, only for Hisashi to leave again. And yeah, I'm right there with Kyoka at the end. Wouldn't have blamed her in the slightest for failing to contain that.

I know that repairing their relationship will take time. hell I recently reread your story and I put almost 15 chapters for izuku and inko to be on good terms. I'm not saying that 2 chapters are enough for everything to be rosy but what I can say will be interesting to see how this relationship develops. something that I also realized although I think it can only be my idea is that it could return to the subject of insecurities now we have kyouka maybe questioning myself if she is worthy or not of ofa and the subject of izuku with his 2 parents. anyway I will be waiting for your wonderful work. each chapter is closer to having eri in the fistoria or rather the daughter of izuku and kyouka
