(Pre-Release) Faulty Apprentice v.0.0.8X

Greetings Apprentices! It's been a long road, but the time has come for you to see the results of all your hard work! This update features the ending sequence of Faulty Apprentice. Depending on your choices thus far in the game and Equipment you bring into battle, it will affect how events unfold. Literally the castle, and EVERYONE in it is in your hands. 

While there are 4 major endings: Ultimate Good, Ultimate Evil, meh good and meh evil, the Final Battle sequence itself has many path variations depending on how you have affected each character's Morale. Achieving the Ultimate Endings is difficult, but they feature unique reward scenes that have never been seen before, so they are well worth the effort! If you make it out of the final battle alive and didn't unlock new artwork, you may not have done enough good or evil throughout the game. *Strategy Guide on requirements for Ultimate Endings is available to $25 Royal Guard tiers. THIS BUILD IS STILL IN BETA TESTING PHASE!! There are most likely bugs, so please save in new slot before starting the FInal Battle ending sequence. Once you start the Battle you will not be able to change Equipment or save manually. *You will be reminded of this in-game.

That does work, it's just a shame to lose the normal sound effects in the process. Most visual novels have separate voice and sfx volume sliders, though I suppose if you haven't programmed that distinction into the game already it could be hard to retrofit

This version still, Magic Training 3 (Protection) session failed to load and soft-locked the game on the Heart Day

You can lower the SFX volume in options menu and that should quiet the VA. Hopefully that helps (=

To be fair, the issue could also be exacerbated because I'm a very fast reader, so even when I'm reading new text I often click past a line before the associated bark has even finished if it's a longer one

I get the idea and the VA itself is overall pretty good, especially for how...stylized some of it is, I've just never seen quite this compromise before between full voicing and selective and I was a bit disappointed that I didn't have the option to control it once I got a feel for how each character was supposed to sound

Oh, it's a constant thing, it feels like each character has five or six little flavor barks they say for lines that have certain tones, and while I can't cite a specific instance from memory I definitely do recall being jarred a bit by one bark getting repeated several times. I'm gonna play through again when I'm done with this and I'll try to catch those. But I've also saved and loaded a few times and it also sounds weird if you're skipping through text you've recently read as well, because then you get a bunch of rapid fire phrases

Yikes, sorry to hear that. We actually have an internal rule to not repeat VA like that, do you remember which character and when that was? As in the subject matter or day of the dialogue. We'll get that sorted out right away!

AGL games

I don't know if this sort of thing is even on the table at this point, but the game would be much improved with the ability to turn dialog barks off. Hearing someone say "I must consider" four times in a row while I'm trying to read text that doesn't even contain those words gets distracting and I wish I could at least make it quieter.
