Staring Contest

“What? Scared of losing, toy?” Your hypnotist smirked at you from across the table. You shook your head. “Then what, come on, what have you got to lose, huh? You get to stare into my eyes for a few minutes, if you win, you get to decide what we do, within limits.”
They stretched back, still smiling. “And if I win, I get to decide what we do, within limits.” They leant forwards.
You eyed them with suspicion, and they took on a look of mock shock. “What, toy? Do you think I would trick you? Me?” They laughed. “Well, maybe I would.”
They reached out and took your hand. “Come on, you focus so well on my eyes already, why not make a game of it?” You knew they wouldn’t drop it, and you had to admit, that the idea was tempting.
“Okay then, bring it on.” Their smile grew at your words.
“There we go, toy. I knew you couldn’t resist looking into my eyes.” You found yourself already getting lost. Already focusing. “That’s it. Honestly, I don’t know why you were so against this game. You’re going to win. You always do. But then, you don’t remember that, do I?”
