[News] Next Release Coming Soon

Hello everyone!

We’ve successfully adjusted the game settings and plan to release the next demo within the next few days. If all goes well, it could be as soon as this Saturday or Sunday.

As most of our work was done outside of Unreal Engine, the main differences between the current release and the next will be a new dialogue, stability improvements, and game settings that will now save as originally intended.

Following this, there will be a public demo of this stable version a bit later. For September, we plan to bring you new content while we work on implementing the landscape of the prologue and legacy content in Unreal Engine 5.

Thank you! And yes, a necessary step backwards so we can propel ourselves even further moving forward! We'll be posting a lot about the revised surface world in the next few weeks. Don't worry, all the audios and animations of the cutscenes you've seen are still there. We just need to make them fit the new landscape =)

Hi! Thank you for your good and quick reply! I made some notes in your feedback collection post 2 weeks ago: https://www.patreon.com/posts/version-0-25-6-109343106 There are some more things I missed in the current Patreon release, but I wasn't sure if I should list them all. As for the content, I liked the surface level very much, with all the surroundings, buildings and people. They enlivened the world very well. These are many details I would not have expected in such an early stage of the game development. But it impressed me very much - and led to the point that the current Patreon release felt like a big step backwards, even if it really is an improvement on the technology.

We won't be replacing the legacy and prologue demo until all the content is back. Now it's a matter of time since the hardest part of this engine transition is done.

We will be releasing it as a third download on the itch page titled as Unreal 5 Preview. I was under the impression that other than the game settings we had managed to solve most of the issues in the current demo, did you find anything else that we couldn't catch? If you could message us what you could find it would help us a lot to solve the issues before we make the next patch. We want to make this Unreal 5 demo compact but well-polished.

I hope you are sure about bringing a release similar to the current one to the public. Just speaking for myself, but I was very disappointed by the current Patreon release after I was impressed by the current itch.io releases. Maybe you should fix the bugs and implement the legacy landscape and features, BEFORE you present a new release at itch.io....?
