Version 0.25.6 Feedback Collection

Hello Patrons!

I've made this post to collect your feedback on the latest release. Let us know if you have any issues or general feedback. Also, remember that the settings are not working 100% properly on that version either. But it will be on the next patch we'll release this month.

I see that the things related to the NPCs being laggy and jumping around are from the optimization things we had to do in their programming. I'm preparing a huge patch to fix it but I don't think it would be fixed in time for the update, but I'll see what I can improve at least until then. The others related to quest duplication I can solve today and the sex mini-game will have it's own patch later this year when we revamp it. going through the list I think only 2 or 3 of the topics can be addressed before the patch, and all the others are already issues that we are aware of and are working on to fix by rebuilding the framework that happens behind the curtains

The laggy and jumping NPC behaviour is related to some optimisations we had to implement in their programming. I'm currently working on a huge patch to address this, though it may not be fully resolved in time for the next update. However, I will see what improvements can be made in the meantime. Regarding the quest duplication, I can fix that today. As for the sex minigame, we plan to release a patch later this year when we revamp that feature. After reviewing your list, I believe we can address 2 or 3 of the issues before the upcoming patch. The rest are known issues that we are working on as part of a larger framework overhaul happening behind the scenes. So they will solve themselves naturally when this overhaul is done.

Thank you very much for your report and I'm really sorry for only catching this today, I missed the notification when you replied here. I'll try to address the issues you mentioned that we can address without changing the whole systems that happen behind what's visible. The prologue world will be brought back as soon as possible, we're trying to work on it to happen within the next few months. And indeed, it was a step backwards that we had to take to bring the game to unreal 5, but see it more as we walking backwards to get enough momentum to later jump higher. The game now will look much more modern and many tools Unreal 5 is bringing us will help us to develop it faster. It's a shorterm drawback for a longterm improvement!

Hi, I tried your public demo (0.23.3 and Legacy) and was so impressed that I joined your Patreon support team. Unfortunately, I found so many bugs in the current version 0.25.6 that I'm not sure if it's useful and helpful to collect them here. Most of them are so obvious that I can't believe you are not aware of them. Or are you really not? For example... - NPCs or enemies are not visible if they are more than ~20 metres away. But I can hear them and should be able to see them (for example, on the other side of the broken bridge in the sewer scene). - Merishya is invisible after the fight with the monster. The fight itself was much more buggy than in the older releases. - NPCs move with a laggy/jumpy behaviour when they are a few meters away. You can even see it in the background of the trailers (https://youtu.be/IoDOM2u1jvI). - The ‘quests’ in the Garden of Delights are added to the quest list again and again after talking to the NPCs multiple times. They are 'main quests' but there is absolutely nothing to do in these quests?! - When you enter the intimate rooms of the Garden of Earthly Delights with different NPCs one after the other (from the dialogue flirt), they spawn into each other and clip. - The minigame is kind of buggy or I don't understand how to use it. The objective is not clear what to do. The poses seem to change randomly and suddenly. Raising the camera (spacebar) works, but lowering it (C key) doesn't seem to work anymore. Some other things surprised me, as I had expected more after your (good) older releases. - The minigame is always the same with every NPC. Since it's so bugged that I only have to focus on the buttons on the right and can't enjoy the view, it kind of gets boring very quickly. - I'm not sure, but is the Garden of Earthly Delights currently the end of the game? I can't complete the quests there. And I miss the open world level from 0.23.3, which looked and felt very (!) good. Honestly, the update to Unreal Engine 5 feels like a big step backwards. And it feels like you have to reinvent the wheel from scratch. It was and is the same with another Patreon game (‘Wild Life’) when they switched to Unreal Engine 5 too... I don't want to sound discouraging at all. Your game is outstandingly great. But I really hope you are aware of the many glitches. You guys have shown great attention to detail and voice-over for almost every scene. The guys from ‘Wild Life’ seem to be taking a different approach. Everything is less detailed, has less bugs, but you can (roughly) play the story/world very far. But there it's obvious that everything has to (and will) be heavily detailed later on. Your game already has a lot of detail and the current playable world gives a bit of a feeling that you are declaring these scenes as ‘final’. But I hope you'll do some polishing later and fix the many bugs at some point? Thank you.
