[News] Plans for Patch
Added 2024-07-29 18:14:52 +0000 UTCHello everyone!
We are working to try and get the new patch to you within the next 2 to 4 days. It will count with new dialogues in the Garden of Earthly Delights but not much has changed in the actual dungeon gameplay.
To give you some context, we have recently brought the game from Unreal 5.3 to Unreal 5.4, which will allow us to use some pretty awesome new tricks to improve the open world, and also give us the ability to make a real-time rig for Kalyskah that will work much better than anything we had before:

What are the advantages of a real-time rig?
This new rig gives us way more control over cutscenes. We can spend less time animating in Blender and more time tweaking and reusing existing animations to make each scene feel unique. This not only ups the quality of our cutscenes by letting us see how things will look right in the engine but also speeds up our workflow.
So, while you might not notice huge changes in the next patch, apart from at least 15 more minutes of fully voiced dialogues, we’ve been working hard behind the scenes. We’re updating the prologue content to meet Unreal 5 standards and doing a lot of code refactoring to ensure you’ll have the best experience once it’s all done.
Unreal 5.4 will also provide us with better tools to use nanite in the landscape, which means that the ground will look more realistic, with more volume and bumps than that flat blurred dirt we had before.
We've also been in talks to bring a new team of level designers for the project, people who have worked on huge projects that you might have heard about. But I'll talk more about it once we have something to show.
And ah! If you miss the legacy content, don't worry, we have been working on bringing it back too! But we are doing it at our own pace, in a manner that doesn't get in the way of us finishing the prologue content. So it will take us a few more months to have more to show in that regard. What I can say in advance is that we're not just re-adding the prologue content, but the looks and feel of the whole area of Millhaven will be updated to what you can expect of a town overrun by bandits!
