[Poll] Prologue's Length

Hello everyone!

Now that you have a reminder of what happens after the prologue, I'd like to hear your thoughts on the concept of the prologue and what you consider to be its ideal length.

Please keep in mind that what you've seen in version 0.24 is not our final goal for the prologue. It currently contains the introductory quest but lacks the depth of Kalyskah's struggle to regain control over the island and many other planned quests. Our aim has always been to depict Kalyskah as a ruthless leader with no compassion for humans, allowing your choices to lead her towards growth or a deeper descent into loathing for the living.

I've been considering whether we should continue expanding the prologue with content that showcases Kalyskah at the peak of her power or focus solely on the main story there and return to Millhaven as soon as possible. Therefore, I'm creating this poll to ask how much time, apart from the main storyline, you would like to spend in the tropical jungle setting of the prologue. Keep in mind that there's still a large city to be completed, which will eventually be almost as populated as Millhaven.

I think the prologue should be long but only as necessary, if you want to tell the story of someone's past, and not just any someone(talking about the strongest vampire in the world) i dont think the prologue should be rushed and neither too long. it should also have quests that requires Kalyskah to put each of her abilities on display(allowing the player to get more familiar with her as a character and her powers).

Thank you! An RPG has a lot of kinks that we need to set up behind the scenes in order to get it ready for the story content. But once these mechanics are done, it boils down to writing the story and creating the animations, which are things we can do faster. So all the pain of the current process is a punctual thing that once we are through, won't hold us back anymore. =)

Consider that every power we design for the prologue is a power Kalyskah will be able to unlock later in the game. Her combat skills will carry over between eras; she only loses powers related to blood. Our plan for equipment has always been to distribute whatever you collected during the prologue throughout the chests in the broken temple, but in a ragged version of everything. So it was never supposed to be as disconnected as it might sound.

Hmm not a bad idea but am just worried if the game might become feature creeped but if u guys can think u can plan ahead and make it work go for it.

I feel the same but on the other hand, if you think about how the witcher spins after the Blood Baron chapter, we could think of a way to make the consequences of choices done in the prologue affect the rest of the story just as much in case people would like it to be longer. So with planning, we can blend it in more with the rest of the game.

I mean it shouldn’t be too big otherwise it kind of becomes too disjointed in my opinion. Was thinking maybe like Witcher 3 prologue.
