Collecting feedback and fixing things as fast as we can!
Added 2024-06-07 17:02:22 +0000 UTCHello everyone!
After the latest patch, we noticed that there are several problems that we need to address urgently. We plan to focus on the issues that are easier to fix and release a patch on the weekend, which are:
The door to Nemesis' garden not opening;
The lock-on system isn't consistent;
Enemies are respawning after you load the game;
There are collision issues at the end of the dungeon;
Missing loot (You might have noticed that there are a few areas where we planned to add something to be found, but when you go there, there isn't a payoff with a chest.)
Kalyskah moves involuntarily when you equip and unequip a weapon. That was fixed for the unequip animation of the one-handed sword but we noticed that it happens for other weapons as well;
We will move some NPCs around to allow a better sneak system;
We will add quest markers to improve the understanding of what you need to do when you get the Mysterious Intruder quest.
A list of glitches in the level that we got in our discord.
About the crash, it would highly help us if you could post the logs in our channel "bug report forum" here: https://discord.gg/qTx9Csv
To get the log, use the key Windows + R, and on the run box, type %localappdata%\Kalyskah
Then navigate to the folder Kalyskah\Saved\Crashes. You'll see a lot of other folders there. Send us just the CrashContext.runtime-xml that was generated on the moment you had a crash.
This way on Monday we can start going through the logs and work on fixing them.
Some people have asked us what is the plan now that this release is done. And here's it:
We aim to investigate any other issues that the update to Unreal 5 has caused and fix them this month.
Adding the missing cutscenes to the dungeon and making a more stable release later this month.
In parallel to implementing a new combat system using the new animations we got during the mocap session, we will be finishing the prologue. Once the prologue is finished, it will be linked to this dungeon at the end and this is when the content from the legacy version will be brought back. Notice that we made this dungeon smaller than the original one, that's intentional because once we get the prologue + the old content in the game, its purpose will be to link both storylines, and we rather not keep you on it for far too long until you can get back to exploring the open world.
The ETA for us to finish the prologue is this year. It will happen in parallel with a lot of improvements to the core gameplay.
We are profoundly sorry for any issues you found on this demo. But we are not letting this setback stop us and we'll do our best to make it up for you and until the end of the month, have the game running as smoothly as we intend it to run.
