[News] Roadmap for the story content

A patron recently asked us about the roadmap for our story content. So the first thing I would like to let you know is that we have two writers on our team, and even though we are working on the landscape\programming optimizations, they are still moving forward with the main story writing. Once we are done with the optimization, there will be a lot of accumulated documents that we will send to the voice actors and implement in the game. So don't worry about something distracting us from the plot because one task doesn't nullify the other. To be more transparent, the blue squares in the calendar are milestones for the writing, the ones related to programming and bug fixing we create every month depending on what we can foresee that will be done:

As you can, we have milestones up to June of next year, which is when we think that the whole writing of chapter 1 will be done. This writing will include some allies' questlines, like Fara, Akrasiel, Merishya, Natasha, there will be a whole civil war plotline in Millhaven, a crossover with another game and finally, the Vicious Seed questline that will deal with the quarantine happening in the region. The months that are blank are either months that we will take to make reviews or months that we are still going to split major tasks along.
Even though it's not always that the programming will be following the writing, I hope this helps to show that we do have a plan for what we'll be doing over one year from now!

Ah, that's a good point, so to clarify: You know how we introduced a bunch of characters and then never came back to them, Like Jessie and Fara? So, what we plan now is to add more content that will explore them better. There are a few other characters to be introduced but most of them will be added during questlines of the ones we already have, for example, it will be through Loretta and Fara's quest that the player will be introduced to Rulfio the Ravager and Maynard. And then through the Bouchards we'll introduce Eckhard. For the puppeteers, don't worry, there will be more content added to the club because there's something in the place that Kalyskah wants, and there's also the interactions between Kalyskah and the master\mistress that we'll add as radiant events. Another thing that the puppeteers will have will be interactions between other quests. For example, in a certain quest we are writing, Kalyskah will have to go undercover to a party. She will either be disguised as a maid, enter the place stealthily or just go as an entertainment pet from the puppeteers. So rest assured that we are not forgetting about the characters we added so far. Just a few of them don't have more content planned yet, like Harry and Margaret.

2022-05-03 17:12:01 +0000 UTCHmm if possible I'd like to see a progression of some sort on existing quests/character interactions in the game with more scripted cut scenes. For example I think the puppeteers started in the right direction but I'm concerned it won't progress any further and you'll just end up with a bunch of very short Quests with no cutscenes or progression. Maybe a relationship system with characters so as kalyskah progresses a characters questline further their interaction changes based on their closeness/past interactions etc?
