[News] About the final release of this year

Hello everyone, Corintio here!

Two weeks ago I've posted our month's schedule with a warning: Things could happen during the month that could change the deadlines. So... turns out that a week after I did that post I was invited to travel on day 22 to another town. Because of the pandemic, last year I spent my Christmas and New Year at home and it was terrible, so I decided to accept the invite and I probably won't be around until the new year.

So with that in mind, I've been trying to crunch as much work as I can to maybe release everything planned for December until day 21 but unfortunately, I don't think I can. And other members of the team have a lot of tasks to finish that they wouldn't be able to finish them in a satisfactory way without that extra week and a half.

What I will try to do is to release a stable public demo as soon as I can solve some other issues reported on the current build 0.18.6, and then try to push something more of the puppeteers for the patrons before I go.

I'm really sorry for having to change the dates which are causing an impact on the volume of new things for this patch, but we'll try our best to make it up to you. We already have a new quest that was sent to the voice actresses and we expect it to be recorded by the 10th of January, which would allow us to push it for that month since those quests don't require as many parallel mechanics as the puppeteers do (the reason why this quest is taking so long).

Thank you very much for your patience and support!

Thank you very much for understanding! =D And yeah, I'm excited about this Christmas travel but also very worried about the release.. If I could take this off from my chest to be able to enjoy the holidays and then come back to work that would be amazing! I'm still working on some details to release before I go, but the plan is to have a stable public build and some experimental things for patrons until then. =)

I'm a big fan of not rushing things because rushing causes more problems than delaying and making sure things work as intended. Sure, bugs are going to happen, it's software development, bugs happen, it's unavoidable. I guess I'm saying that to say this. Do what you can, and don't worry too much about having to push back certain features a bit. I think I speak for everyone when I say we would rather have a good, working release, and we understand if things have to be pushed back a bit due to time constraints. It's the holidays, take time, be with friends and family, take a break, and when you come back, you and everyone else will be good and refreshed, and can dig in full speed ahead after your trip.
