[News] New quest and a bit of the inventory!

Hello everyone, Corintio here!

I imagine you might be pretty curious to know what we are cooking for the next Patreon patch, so here are some spoilers:

The first thing is that we are finally close to finishing the implementation of the new inventory system. The visuals are not final, but the navigation on it is mostly done:

The idea is that the items you are wearing will be shown on the right side, then when you click on the icon you'll have a list of only what you can put on that slot. But you will also have a way to show everything in case you are at a shop or trying to discard something. We imagine that by organizing this, our players will be able to figure out their outfits way much quicker without having to guess what will be switched for what.

Another thing we are doing is improving the tooltips on the UI. You know already that Kalyskah has her enhanced senses (Vampiric Vision), but what you might not know is that the attribute "Logic" is supposed to increase the range of her senses. That's because the former way we had to show the character stats were oversimplified and confusing. Now if you hover your mouse you'll get a more helpful visual:

And since we are talking about the vampiric vision and logic attribute, this new quest we are adding has a lot of dialogues but is short in terms of gameplay things to do, that's mostly because this gameplay part is an expansion of a mechanic that we already have, which required us to do a lot of backend changes to make it work properly. But we are happy to say that from now on, investigating the level can be a recurrent thing on the new quests!

(Don't mind the strange powers on the right, they are a work in progress and will be released only when we make the skill tree mechanics)

The animators are almost done with the new erotic cutscenes for the Heirloom Lost quest, we will need another week to finish everything but we are trying out best to wrap this pack before the month's end. The worst scenario would be we releasing the new quest this month and leaving the cutscene for the first week of the next, but we are hoping that it doesn't come to that.

Oh... while weapon in hand is a pretty good idea! I'll add it to the list and we might do it for the next patch =)

Thank you for the answer. About the third question, I don't know if the "hold for a second" type would work on the enemies too, which will make the "mist form and biting" combo even harder. The first solution seems easier to achieve, and you may change "while sneaking" into "while weapon in hand" , or maybe "while night vision is on", for that she can also bite the NPC in front who is not alerted.

Hello! Answering your questions: 1 - They don't have a dialogue yet, it's planned to be done within the next few months 2 - It depends on the speed they are walking. Sometimes they might be walking so slowly that the state machine doesn't recognize the movement. This is normal behaviour for now but we plan to take a look into that when we start improving the NPC AI. 3 - Biting people is only possible when you are approaching them from behind. I was thinking about maybe either doing that you can only bite non-hostile NPCs while sneaking or that you would need to hold the interaction key for a second so it can't be done by mistake. Let me know which idea you like the most because we might implement it when we have the chance =D

some problems in the current version: 1.can't speak to the guys sitting beside the bar owner 2.sometimes the walking animation is not working, people are just moving around with their legs freezed 3.it is too easy to bite people when I'm trying to speak to them, any way to fix that?
