This and the page following it was actually going to be a set of three 4komas - which is to say, comic strips with four equally-sized panels, like most Japanese gag strips are. But instead, Psu thought it would be worth the effort to go with some bigger rectangles and some smaller, with the art being a bit sketchier, like our holiday strips sometimes are.
It wasn't the right time at Christmas... but we're still getting into the New Year here, I think, so that's also a special occasion. Right?
