Psu: We fought about the last panel! I only bring that up cause you added it to the public comments. Otherwise I'd be okay to pretend our writing sessions are perfect harmonious hug fests.
Gunwild: I might feel differently about it if we did it now, I just thought that them lying in bed together was a little sexy for what I wanted to be a poignant moment. I'm a prude, in other words.
Psu: Says he who needs me to sexify up every pinup.
Gunwild: I believe in playing to a target audience!
Psu: Anyway, I think the note we ended up with was a pretty good one. I just saw the notion of them lying in bed together as pretty normal for them. And nothing they're terribly ashamed of. Like most things given a couple years, I don't even remember what the majority of the argument was.
Psu: I think I've mentioned this before, but on the top left you can see that Cassiopeia is wearing the more traditional bikini-style outfit from her original pre-production design! Because it's in the past. Get it?
Psu: I think it's worth pointing out that sometimes Gunwild will fill a script with a Christmas list of references. I think they give our scenes a bunch of character! But i would also admit that we were in danger of using references like a crutch instead of developing a joke on its own. Here the references just add more texture to the 4 panels but don't draw focus away from what we wanted to say.
Psu: Overall I'd say they're fun to add. But I can also say every reference adds more difficulty in finishing a panel adding loads more research!
Gunwild: I never expect to get them all, because at some point I realized it wasn't fun or helping the comic. But you know, I still try sometimes with something more like a pie-in-the-sky list of allusions I'd like to make. Not so much like instructions, just more like, uh, a Presidential budget.
