Added 2017-04-14 00:47:03 +0000 UTCIn the initial sketch of this page, panels 3, 4, and 5 were all just one panel of Kamsi and Vernon themselves calling the start of the fencing match. That's not terribly likely - they're commenters, not officials. We thus decided it would be a more exciting page if there were reminders of everyone else watching. Also, originally Maddy was going to vanish, then a look up would reveal that she'd done a huge jump practically at superspeed, but it was decided that was more of a Motor Minx mood. It's my fault for getting too into sports manga recently, which of course exaggerates human capability to a ridiculous degree constantly (and makes it really cool).

I do HEMA and have known for some ladies to specifically train for fighting in heels in order to be in a fancy gala dress and still kick ass in a tournament. It is impressive.
