Your cast is important to us, and we thank you for your patience. Now, once you get a friend who can keep an enemy locked down with a grapple or restrained condition, *then* you’re cooking with gas.

2021-09-12 18:36:46 +0000 UTCIf Warlock had a Fiend patron he could have Eldritch Blast *AND* Fireball. Such are the regrets of those who dump Int. Also, the best single target spell is Witch Bolt; 10d12 lightning damage from a 1st level spell, don't mind if I do.

2021-09-12 06:33:32 +0000 UTCIt’s all about context. When you need to fuck up one guy in particular over and over again, Eldritch Blast. When you need to clear a room, Fireball. Or, to paraphrase, “An Eldritch Blast may have your name on it, but a Fireball is addressed ‘To Whom It May Concern.’” (I know you *can* target a different creature with each beam, but let’s be realistic, 99% of the time you’re going to be slamming one guy for that sweet 4d10+20, assuming you hit all your shots, or as much of it as your level allows.)
