Inquisitor frowned down at her notes. She paid well for her intelligence reports, and they rarely failed her.
Heart of Atom Isa, they read. Glowing green gem of extraterrestrial origins. Known to confer the following powers:
There were other powers of course. The Heart was an artifact of considerable power after all. Yet it was somewhat difficult to read with all the simpering going on in the background.
“Yes, Mistress!” squealed Fighter. “Use me as your plaything. I am a lowly worm beneath your kneehigh space boots!”
Perhaps it was the Tug Heartstrings attack? That would make sense, Inquisitor decided. Good thing too, because that particular power only lasted one round. Any moment now Fighter would blink her eyes, come to her senses, and proceed to beat the everloving silver lamé out of Arcencia.
The drow relaxed into the battle trance of ulu kyorlin, known as “a delay” in the Common tongue. She counted slowly to six, letting the oddly indeterminate temporal unit pass by. Both of the other ‘combatants’ seemed to be enjoying their position in initiative, so there wasn’t much of a reason to interfere. Besides, it was a pretty good show. The silver sorceress arched her back, looking immensely pleased. Fighter’s tongue made a gentle lapping sound, her oversized human tits wobbling to and fro, utterly overwhelming the servant girl outfit that had served so far as a disguise in Argencia’s lair. It would almost be a shame to end the performance.
“And six,” said Inquisitor at last. “Alright, Fighter. Wipe the shoe polish off your teeth and let’s—”
“Please let me stay aboard!” mewled the formerly-fearsome blonde. “Let me be your science fantasy! I’ll learn to use a laser pistol. I’ll Frazetta pose for you!”
Inquisitor’s frown deepened. She looked once more at her dossier. Humanoids identifying as male only... A knot of suspicion began to build within the bounty hunter. Something was very wrong indeed, and she sincerely doubted that it was the dossier’s fault.
