Welcome to the fourth weekly update!!
WHAT HAVE I BEEN UP TO?
Hhhhhhhhgh... not much, to be honest! We are STILL at my parents' house, housesitting for them, which has been super chill! But not very eventful. Just hiking in the park, petting the cats, walking the dog, and so forth.
As I mentioned last week, we think we've got a great place locked in, BUT I'm not counting any chickens until the ink's dry on the lease agreement! It's got ~*~three~*~ bedrooms, which is an honestly exorbitant amount of rooms to have after spending so long sharing a double. I plan to use one as an office/art room, which I'm very excited about! No more working where I sleep~
We still need to plan what route we'll be taking across the US to actually get there... Can't say I'm looking forward to all that driving!
WHAT HAVE I BEEN WORKING ON?
Once again, an uneventful week, art-wise!
I've been making more comics (mostly about how gay I am), and filling up pages with silly doodles. Not much else, though.
WHAT HAVE I BEEN ENJOYING?
An unordered and incomplete list of things Iโve particularly enjoyed the past week:
- Othello. The board game, not the play! Though I just googled it, and apparently the board game was actually named after the play, so go figure. Anyway, my partner Aidan and I have been playing it in the evenings! While doing so, we've been alternating between listening to The Dream Thieves by Maggie Stiefvater and trying to "get" prog rock.
- Horatio Hornblower. I've never read the books, but I have seen the miniseries; Aidan is a huge fan of the books, though! So much so that they've been writing a punk band AU fanfic. I love a good band aAU so I have been ALL ABOUT THAT lately! It's even inspired me to take another crack at drawing Ioan Gruffudd's strange, handsome face. I can't wait until their fic is done so I can draw proper fanart for it! <3
