5/28/17 Illinois Chronicles #2
Added 2017-05-28 23:06:02 +0000 UTCWhat work I did on the game today consisted of moving around dialogue for the fun equivalent of the SORE event and planning out the alternative event for when the player is on the bottom.
The alternative event will be both more complicated and more simple in different places. for one, there won't be a need for each choice of the player to change based on the stats of the npc, so the amount of text I'll need for each persona will be much lower. However, I also need a way so that the spanking can progress in a realistic and interesting way, and not work the same way every time. To accomplish this, I'm introducing another statistic for the use of npc's when they top the player. The good news is this stat won't be crucial to the player, and it won't be necessary for you to control it as much as the others. I've dubbed this variable "Patience", and what it will be used for is for setting up the flags that progress a spanking in intensity.
At this point, I figure there are two main ways a spanking can progress: the baring of the spankee, and the increase of implement severity. I've thought of also including the hardness of a spanking, but I think that may be too much to consider. As of now, the intensity of smacks that an npc gives is fixed, and although I can change that, it would mean more work would be spent in development. I think instead I will make it so that severity of smacks is tied to the persona class, where children and weaker people would rank low, the average teen and adult would rank medium, and guards, warriors, or disciplinarians would rank high.
Back to the "flag" concept. How this will work is that each persona will have a certain organization of flags for changes in the scene. If their patience reaches the level of a flag, it will trigger and the scene will change accordingly. For example, the average lady will have their flags set up in a way so that you are bared layer by layer until you're naked, and only then will they switch to an implement. The implement in question will always be their "signature implement" which will be linked to each character (not persona), unless you have given them an implement prior to this... The good part about this is that I can organize the flags in a way so that if you have a shy character, they'll be very hesitant to bare you and will switch to an implement first, or you can have a timid character that can go the whole spanking using their hand and you fully clothed, but if their patience reaches the limit they will completely bare you and switch to an implement all at once.
Now it's time for me to actually put this into action...
*Edit*
I forgot to mention how the patience variable changes. It will have a base increase after each step in the scene. Depending on the character's reaction that value will increase or decrease. Patience will also never go down, only up. Basically it's the same way I did it as before, with how sometimes acting bratty can make the spanking worse for you. Except this is on a much larger scale, and can apply to any scene.

Also once you finally finish this update and apply it to the entire game that is available to play at the moment, you'll be able to relax for even longer and take a break from the game to help avoid burnout. Unless you're super inspired and just keep powering through.

Besides, once you finish and release this entire thing you'll buy yourself so much time to relax or update some other small things that would be quick and easy considering everyone will be exploring this.
