Testing Individual File Access :) (for non-patrons)

 Hello my Friends,

I am testing a new option: Viewers of my Tutorials can now also buy my Affinity Photo Files individually on GumRoad. They are 1.99$ per file, so a Patreon "Affinity File Access" Abo is still a lot cheaper.

This new option is mainly intended for people who only want a very specific tutorial, aka drop-in customers.  You can check it out here: https://gumroad.com/l/LRoCn

Of course, as a Parton from 3$ and above, you will still get access to all my past and future files as usual. No change there :)

I hear you. Time is so hard to come by. Even though i am selfemployed and have no family, it's so hard for me to get in the time to work on my own artistic projects. there is always something else to do. I'm really trying hard to establish a "me-time" per day, that is just reserved for working on my own projects. No internet, no calls, nothing but working on my stuff.

That's so nice of you :)

Hi Marco, i meant it the other way around. Me sharing to you. I don't really have a problem with doing that. Actually i think that it's nice to also see the human side behind the creators. ;)

Awesome, that's really great to hear. :) I noticed that people are posting less in the community section. Maybe that's also because more of my tutorial have been technical in the last weeks. I'm open to any ideas how to improve the aspects of feedback and camaraderie too. I would love to get more of a family feeling to our community. At the same time, i'm not sure people would be disturbed by more posts about my life and aspects outside of the photo lectures, like my cats and such.

I don’t know if this helps. I don’t have any big new ideas for you. I could wait the 7 days and get it “free” on YouTube. I pay the Patreon fee, first, to support your time and the privilege of learning from you. Second, for the ability to share my product with you and others and get feedback on how to improve my work. Lastly, the chance to ask technical questions. I’m also inspired by seeing the works of others, especially when I’m stuck for an idea. Also, I like the camaraderie of our little group. I look forward to our interactions.

Thank you my friends. That's really good feedback. I also feel very touched and honored that you chose a higher Tier, even though the File Access reward isn't that important to you. At the same time, of course, i want to give you something that's a real benefit to you. What could that be? Open to all ideas :) In my mind the files where always important to a wider audience than the BTS videos, but maybe i got that wrong and it is the other way around. Patreon just added the option to have same priced tiers with different rewards, so i could now also create "BTS only" tier, that does not have the files, but the videos instead. Which would also mean i should finally take the time to make the BTS teasers.

Olivio, I’ve noted what you are trying to do above. For myself, as Marco says, I have little use for your project file. I rarely download it. I watch the tutorial and make my own file. I don’t always produce exactly what you do but that is ok for me. I learn from you and apply the skills in my own way. As you are aware, I often go off in my own direction with the project. My goal is not to make an exact reproduction of the tutorial image. I’m not sure how others approach each tut , so my way may not be typical. I don’t know if this helps your decision but I thought I’d write something.
