In fact, I’d wager most of the tailgaters are just there to support and soak in the campus atmosphere. That’s why many have tv’s to watch the game from outside. I know from experience that you can get worn slap out from all the pregame hullabaloo even before the game ever starts. They didn’t even show the players walk-thru, and the band and cheer squad pregame hype up, etc, etc. Also, RIP sweet Ben. Luckily Herbie has Ben’s brother Peter (14 months old) stepping up in Ben’s memory.
