Apocrypha: Behind The Scenes March 5 - Midnight Brutality and my WWII American Book

There have been two major things for me this week: final preparations for Midnight Brutality, and working on my WWII American Small Arms book. We've got three great sponsors for the match: Tactical Night Vision Company, BE Meyers, and Q. Thanks to them we have an amazing prize table for our competitors - a bunch of people will be going home with a prize worth more than their entry fee, which was my goal.

As for the book, I have finished the handgun section, and am now working on the rifles. Once I get through the rest of this section, it will leave machine guns, SMGs, and miscellaneous other weapons (shotguns and bazookas). So far so good!

And, of course the periodic gun tinkering in preparation for filming. This week, the subject has been a Grendel P10 pistol, a gun truly designed to cause gunsmiths grief.

I'm shooting Saturday, are you doing a meet and greet there?

like the constant content of another channel sounding like: "ukrainian forces with colt canada; tavors; FAL(!); this;that;every military rifle made within the last 30years... " one word: magazins. sounds as some frontier fort gets saa but schofield ammo.

Guido Schriewer

Yep. Mine did not come with the loading tool; I'd like to find one to film with although they are not strictly necessary. The clips are actually just standard M16 clips, which fit the .380 ACP cartridge.

On the Grendal P10, When I saw the pistol, it came with a bridge to go on the slide and hold the stripper clip so you can load the pistol.

Speaking of logistical nightmares: I wonder if someone will be able to do a detailed report/book (for public consumption) of how Ukraine is handling a super-diverse arms/ammo logistical situation.

reising, thompson, johnson lmg , garand clips, 45 revolvers, 38 revolvers... pacific theatre must have been one big logistical nightmare. different ammo, feeding devices, ... but that kind of makes it interesting.--a grendal finally that 90s (80s?) forgotten thing... looking forward what will be come up about that. last try of a stripper fed pistol, wasn't it?

Best of luck in the Brutality match. Oh Darn! Another book. Looks like I will need to make more space in the library. Sign me up Ian.

Any chance Hop from TFBtv is going to come to Midnight Brutality? He posts a lot about night vision reviews, etc; seems right up his alley.

That's an impressive group of sponsors!

Let me think about that, but yeah probably.

Excellent! See you there :)

In regard to the current book as well as Chasspot to Famas: would you open to doing a video describing how make your books? How do you find sources? How do you evaluate them to make sure it's a good and accurate source? How do you decide what material goes in? etc.

Beef Supreme

I’m looking forward to being on your squad!
