I need your opinion, for a possible game-play change.

I've heard a lot of people saying DH is a bit less fun to play (in term of game-play). I don't want to rework everything or I will never move forward.

HOWEVER, My recent thoughts about CwG, my recent polls, posts etc... made some thought emerging for DH.

The scene direction I made for the permanent event feels a bit less interesting than I thought at first (There is just Jasmina's morning that have more than 1 choice, but still).

This morning, I used recent thoughts to try to theorize something interesting for DH.

This is not an announcement of rework, I'm sharing an idea to make the permanent event more interesting, as game-play, and I want your feedback to see if it's a good idea or not that much.

If it is a good idea, then I will make a rework of the permanent events.

We have time, because during this month and the next one we only work on Individual events. I would eventually update that only after Miji's individual events.

 Here is my idea, I made an example so you visualize better.

This idea is to make combinations of choice, that are unlocked by branches, to discover where it leads. So, it's a very simple game-play where you build your scenes with your unlocked branches.

Let's take the shower as example:

You shower with jasmina. The A1 Tits choice would be to grab her tits, the D1 sub would be to help clean her up in a dominant way (like you caress her body).
Then you have a 2nd choice, from the same pair of branch.
=> The order of your choice will determine a different setup for the last action.
If you choose 2/2 tits stuff, then it increase the tits focus, same for Sub. If you make cross choices, it will make an in between without pronouncing too much the branch.

So 2/2 for the same branch goes to the maximum of the branch, and cross choices, still involve them, but softer & a bit more vanilla. With a different positions for each to make it more interesting and "discover" it.

What do you think of that idea?

If people like it I will work on that.
This is just example I made, I could change combinations. I'm already thinking on changing the shower to Sub/Anal, so we can have hard anal sex under the shower :D

Then in my opinion, it seems like a good direction to go in. Since it would give a little more variety and have bit of a different experience in subsequent playthroughs.

So basically, it's a branching arc system with the final result of the scene being determined by the sequence of prior initial choices. If I'm following correctly.

I would say go for it because currently the game feels a bit procedural versus exploring and interacting like confined with goddess. I honestly figured it was mostly because it was still a work in progress. I like where the story and the animation is fun

I like the idea of having options in scenes. Honestly I don't mind the way it is now but options in some of the scenes could add some interaction and personal input, so the player is "rewarded" in different ways depending on decisions πŸ€” Either way I am happy with whatever you decide 😁

To me, who prefers visual novel style, it works either way. But the new setting you proposed made things more spicing for replayability of the same scenes, although your work will be x4

Oh OK yeah, I can see making it change everything would be way more complicated! But I think even changing the responses within that scene based on choice would still increase the variety and agency, because they're responding more to your choices πŸ™‚

it's just choice for a single scene, it doesn't affect other scenes

I think I like this - if I'm understanding right it means your choices reinforce the way characters respond to MC right? So you don't see 100% of the options but the options you do see follow more naturally from your choices? That would definitely expand the replayability for someone who doesn't want to always take the sub path, or whatever? I think increasing that mix of variety and agency is a really good idea!

Imo my only peeve with dh gameplay is when starting a new event at a location going to said location just starts it, in cwg I like having to interact with the character in the location, felt more smooth ig.
