Steam engines have been carefully crafted following instructions translated from ancient texts, with some modifications made to suit individual pokemon conductors. These railways connect between towns across the continents, though are becoming threatened by the growing presence of Mystery Dungeons which have the potential to wreak havoc on the rails. As a result, countless talismans have been placed across rails to keep the effects of Mystery Dungeons from leaving too much damage. Many fire-type pokemon such as Torkoal or Carkol have found fulfilling jobs in the industry, though it tends to be a bit of a niche.
