Here are some gorgeous images of the fantastic Herodiade from Lanzarote.
There is a subtle but essential difference between these, lightwise:
The first is shot early afternoon with the sun only a slight angle off from being directly above. You can tell by the shadow on the ground and under her breast. But by tilting her body back over the railing and twisting her head, everything works.
The second image is shot early morning when the light is at an ideal angle, which is much more pleasing and easy to work with.
As a photographer, you play the cards you are dealt, but if you can put yourself at an advantage by shooting in the morning instead of midday, why not do it?
