I don't like the Owlcat Pathfinder games (And the CRPGs I'll be playing instead)

I agree about the encounter problems in the owl cat games but I'm slightly conflicted on the overpowered thing. I understand that pf2e isn't like that but most video games typically have ways for you to become rather powerful compared to your challenge. And even games like the souls series typically have busted things that can take out even the most difficult of bosses. I do t really see the harm in it provided you can beat the game without those op options.

2024-09-20 01:29:53 +0000 UTCI love 2e, but I 100% prefer 1e over it so the owlcat games are fucking brilliant for me. I love love love the deep character building. If you want to mess around with random builds you pretty much have to lower the difficulty. I understand the tedium involved with needing to prebuff. I think it would serve the game more to balance it around the ttrpgs normal statistics instead of the preinflated stats
