DeckSaber/Controllable PC Installation Instructions

Step 0  
Make sure you have Beat Saber downloaded on PC through Steam.  This mod is designed to be played without a VR Headset, so the Oculus Quest version of the game will not work. As this uses Steams controller compatibility, the Steam version of the game is required. The Oculus version of the game and an Xbox Gamepad may work, but it's fully untested.

Step 1
Setup Controller Compatibility   
- Right Click Beat Saber in your Steam Library
- Click Properties
- Select Controller On the left
- Click the Dropdown Box and select Enable Steam Input

Step 2
Mod your game!  
- Download ModAssistant.exe under the Releases tab here: https://github.com/Assistant/ModAssistant
- Agree to Mod Assistant
- Select the Mods tab in on the left
- Select whatever mods you wish to have!
- Ensure you have the mods Camera2 and BS Utils selected
- Hit Install or Update

Step 3
Use a "Gamepad" layout in Steam  
- PLUG IN A STEAM COMPATIBLE CONTROLLER; You will not see this unless you have a controller plugged in!
- You will now either see Controller Layout in Beat Saber's page or in a hidden menu under ... to the right.
- Select Browse Configs  
- Select Templates
- Select Gamepad
- Select Apply Configuration

Step 4
Install DeckSaber!  
- Close the game - Download DeckSaber.dll, either by a Patreon Only locked post, or from the discord.
- Go back to Properties (Right Click Beat Saber)
- Select Local Files on the left
- Select Browse...
- Move DeckSaber.dll into the Plugins folder

You're done!
Deck Saber should now be installed and playable!  

Things to know:
- This is still Beat Saber! Swing wide and keep the sabers held so you can fully swing the next note! You will bad cut if you swing from joystick neutral, swing up and then back down again whenever hitting a note!
- Use the Keyboard & Mouse to select any menu option.
- The A ([Xbox/Swich] A/ [PS] X) button on your controller will pause the game.
- Intro skip still works by pressing your controllers triggers!
- Start on a lower difficulty, you might be a master at Beat Saber in VR but DeckSaber has its own skill curve that takes time to master!
- Scoring is still being decided, leaderboards are not yet finished but support will be locked behind patrons until the system is finalised.
- Any mod that changes your sabers offset settings will also be applied in this mod, so please disable them before use!
