Mollymauk (Critical Role) - lineart

Edited version: Now plus lineart (I love it SO MUCH!), and a closeup of the lines. I have a new "inking" tool in Procreate that I really love. I don't like inking with smooth tools, this one lends a nice spontaneity (is that a word?) to the lineart.

The last one is the hi-res file for download and colouring! =)

Probably to be done in Procreate, because he won't work as just a portrait - there's so much going on with Mollymauk to restrict him to portait!

For those not into Critical Role: Mollymauk was actually the first glimpse I had into that world, seeing people on Instragram drawing this GORGEOUS Tiefling. I went to inventigate what story he was from, found out it was from Critical Role, read that there was an Amazon series coming out about (another) CR campaign, and the rest is history. ;)

Molly is a character I'd have refused to draw back in the day when I did people's RPG character commissions. It's the epitome of the over-the-top character design I despised until I realised, very belatedly, how bloody fun it was! I was so narrow-minded back then.

Here's Mollymauk Tealeaf, Tiefling Bloodhunter, in all his tattooed, baubled, lavender, bisexual, card-reading, embroidered glory. Long may he reign.
