Preview/Update 89

Good morning, all! How are we all? Good, I hope! Have a quick peek at Wallace joining Lyn’s merry little legion of fun times.

So, I’m waaaaaay behind on Blazing Trinity ch11. I’m confident, though, that I’ll be able to get it done, if not at the end of the month then at least early August. I’m not worried about the next Self Insert chapter taking long to write; that shit basically writes itself. I also foresee no delay for the Support chapter at the end of the week.

So, I just started dicking around a little with a Warhammer 40k story as a warm up exercise piece. But I’m actually having a lot of fun with it, so... I dunno. Once I get some time I may dedicate some actual effort to it, but I’m not letting it eat up any of my Fire Emblem story time. For those that are curious, it’s about a Rogue Trader who loses everything and has to restart his empire from scratch. Along for the ride is his old ‘friend’, an Inquisitor that worked with him decades ago, and both of their respective crews. Hilarity and wacky adventures ensue. No epic battles, no Space Marines, just a bunch of weirdos out to get rich quick. One problem I’ve always had with trying to write 40k is that my writing style is just too ‘fun’ for the setting, so I’ve hit ‘fuck it’ and I’m going all in on the comedy. Think of it like my Self Insert in space. If I ever get a chapter finished (because I am not making this story a priority at this time, I want to be clear about that) I’ll post it here for y’all before I decide what to do with it.

On the subject of 40k, though, I managed to score an Indomitus box. They sold out online in, like, twenty minutes, and it was the last copy my local store had, so I’m happy as hell. I’m painting the Space Marines as Black Templars. They go with my Battle Sisters better, thematically. Aside from that, not much else has been happening. Work has been kicking my ass again, and I’m an absolutely exhausted wreck right now (hence the delay on Blazing Trinity). I need to re-learn how to write around my work schedule again. Ugh. I almost want that second COVID wave to hit... then I’d get more time off! Bleh.
