Update/Preview 44

Here y’all go, a quick look at SI!Dark ch5, the draft of which is in with Rice for editing and will come out on the 14th as scheduled!

Progress is being made on the next canon SI front. It’s about... I dunno, a thousand words deep so far. I’ve got tonight and tomorrow night off (I’ll get into that...), so I’m hoping I can absolutely smash this chapter and get back to Blazing Trinity.

So, for those of you not on the Discord server, on Friday I had a cyst cut out of my chest. Of course, I had the student nurse assisting the doctor with the procedure, and she clearly was still getting used to shit, because she left me bleed so long before swabbing that there was a line of blood running up over my shoulder and neck, and I’m sitting there like “nurse? Swab please. Any day now, thanks.” And long story short now I have an inch deep hole smack bang in the middle of my chest. Today, as a joke I tried to hug my brother. He stuck his arm up. There was a combination of me walking into his elbow and him pushing into me. Right in the inch deep hole in the middle my chest. I went down hard. Then my dad brings the cat over shouting “quick rub the kitty on him!” And the fucking cat’s claws get stuck to my hoodie while I’m doubled over in pain/laughing, and even though I'm bleeding through the bandages I'm still laughing because fuck his face was perfect when I screamed. I’m totally fine, I just thought it was so damn funny I had to share.

As far as other shit in my personal life goes, not much is happening. My mom’s making a speedy recovery from her heart attack, so I’m no longer stuck being her housekeeping bitch all the time now. I’ve been playing Persona 5 still, and it’s pretty damn fun. I’m also listening (as I type this out, actually) to the new Tool album. I’d love to get all hyped and say “worth the wait!”, but really, it’s just another Tool album. Some of the songs get pretty rockin’ at times, though, which is a nice throwback to their earlier work.
