Update/Preview 41
Added 2019-08-18 23:08:28 +0000 UTCWell, now that Patreon’s actually working again I can make my weekly update! Sorry for the delay, folks; technical issues not actually my fault for a change. A big hello to all my new Patrons! Have a preview from the next chapter of Blazing Trinity.
So, where are we at? In a word, ‘behind’. I have had writer’s block like you wouldn’t believe with this chapter, and while I’m starting to make progress now I fear it may be too little, too late. But I’ll keep at it! Gotta beat that old FE7 fic curse!
I actually just finished reading the first novel in Joe Zieja’s (the voice of Claude in Three Houses) ‘Epic Fail Trilogy’ of novels, and while it’s a little rough at times it still made me laugh my ass off. It is the level of snark and sass I aspire to as a writer, I won’t lie. Look it up if you’re into ridiculous science fiction comedies.
I’m taking a break from Three Houses for the moment. Mostly because I need to get this chapter done, but also because I legit lose sleep to this game (which, given how poor my sleep schedule is at the best of times, is hardly a good thing). I’m planning to get a few more hours in while I’m travelling this week, though; I’m going to Brisbane to watch a Static X concert, which I’m hella keen on. Like, yeah, I wanna see the concert, but I’m really just looking forward to a few days off work. I was having this conversation with my mate the other day, but my idea of an ideal holiday isn’t even leaving the house; I just want to eat, sleep and play video games non stop and not feel guilty about it for a few days. Ah, being an adult sucks.
So, another Self Insert month next month! I’ll work on a little more Three Houses content, too, and here’s hoping I can churn out the rest of this chapter of Future’s End I’ve been sitting on, too. I got a good feeling about September!
